Uaaalllll what a tune and video clip!!!! I thought I´d see Guthrie in this video clip. It seems to me that the guitar solo session was recorded without any audio interface/direct box. Just like when we plug the guitar directly to the PA. Nice job guys!

DarWin is the main writer and guitarist in the video. The solos in this particular track are by Guthrie, who clearly is not in the video. Greg Howe guests on another great track (Future History). The rest of the album is very good and shows DarWin to be an excellent player in his own right.

Guthrie is just ridiculous !! It’s funny how Guthrie natural usually plays a fusion style of blues jazz and rock, but if asked to do metal he DESTROYS it Better then all the top guys in metal ! I mean there is LITERALLY NOTHING Guthrie can’t do or hasn’t mastered ! Which is why when my friends ask me who I think is the greatest guitar player in the world, my default answer will always be Guthrie ! I mean sure I love guys like slash, zakk wylde as the two that got me into playing guitar. But then came guys like Andy James, Marco sfgoli, Rick graham, yannis P, Andy Timmons, Gary Moore, Derrick trucks, warren Haynes, Andy McKee, satch, ect But when it came to Guthrie he is just on another planet ! I mean he really is, to the point that as a totality he seems to have mastered everything ! Chickin pickin, funk, jazz, blues, rock, metal, classical, flamingo ect it’s really incredible that someone has mastered all styles of music Whereas the other guys I mentioned are phenomenal elite guys. But they have mainly mastered 1-2 maybe 3 styles if lucky, whereas Guthrie has mastered them all and inspired me to be the same ! Which is why my daily practice or weekly jam sessions are jazz, blues, rock, hybrid picking. I don’t wanna sound like just a metal guy or just a rock guy. I want to sound totally different which I think knowing all those styles definitely give u that more unique sound like Guthrie’s I mean for someone to understand music theory and practical application, all the theory Guthrie has had to learn, all the scales and exotic modes. It’s just incredible how deep he is. I’ve played for over 20 years and knowing the major and minor modes and all the scale positions and intervals and being able to apply it in a musical way has takin me all that time to learn and become good at. Either way it’s inspirational as hell ! Some guys will say they want to throw their guitar away, but not me. It inspires the hell out of me to keep going !!! To ever get to even 30 percent of what that man can do, you better be willing to give YOUR LIFE to it, because he obviously has. As in practicing day and night, day after day after day. And not just learning some licks and playing on the same ones over and over for several months. But mastering a lick or scale, or riff and immediately moving on to something else ! Then reviewing those licks every once in a while and polishing them. Because I think a lot of us, me included will learn just enough to play and sound good and then we become too lazy to learn more. Because we just enjoy playing what we know ! I think this is what separates someone who is good to someone who is elite ! Everyday is a like starting over again, and forcing yourself to learn more and more and then when u think your really good. Learning MORE ! Lol I feel blessed to have been giving the talent and ability to play music because it is by far the greatest challenge of my life in trying to achieve greatness thru an instrument. It’s the never ending quest of being able to play something beautiful and meaningful
