I live in Nicaragua. My car is parked inside the house, in the living room. Lots of people park in their house, especially if you live in a colonial style house. Watering the patio or the front of the house helps keep the dust down. It's done more for that reason in the front of the house. Watering the patio is more to cool down (if you have an interior patio, which I do). The only thing I absolutely hate about living here is the constant fireworks. You never know why or when they will blow them off! There are no natural gas lines in Nicaragua. Everyone cooks with propane, or wood. Glad to see you are back in Nicaragua! I have lived here for 7+ years. My mom was born and raised in Nicaragua. I lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin all of my life before moving here. I don't think I will ever leave.
@DarzRojas3 жыл бұрын
Ooh yes those fireworks are especially frustrating when trying to get a little one to sleep, if they're not used to the noise. And yes it was really nice to be in Nicaragua, but we have since come back to the US. We would love to stay longer but with my husband working in the US it's hard to be so long without him.

Love your videos, our house was build near club terraza by Santo Domingo. Im currently in Nicaragua as well and it's hot right now. The reason why we water the front or backyard is to wet the ground since it's notorious here with the wind and "polvo" de Tierra. So far we been doing okay with the heat. Keep up the great work on your videos :)

I recently saw a video from Americans who moved to Nicaragua that said the electricity is expensive and the tap water is undrinkable. Is that true in your experience? Okay, so this video definitely has me NOT wanting to move to Nicaragua or even visit. I've watched too many videos that probably just recommend Nicaragua because it's inexpensive and reasonably safe to live there. Watching you suffer made the rotten winter in New York seem reasonable.
@DarzRojas2 жыл бұрын
I don't suffer in Nicaragua, I actually enjoy visiting there. Yes, electricity is relatively expensive. Overall living expenses are relatively low. Nicaraguans drink the tap water.

@@DarzRojas Thank you for your response. Would you move to Nicaragua to live somewhat permanently? I’m looking for a place I can live on about a $1000.00 a month. I have a friend who moved to Portugal who loves it but I don’t think I could afford it. Mexico seems dangerous and lawless. I lived in San Diego for about 14 years and going into Mexico was always somewhat dangerous because the police are so corrupt. Any other sunny counties that you’d recommend? Thank you for your video. Your video is so much more realistic than someone standing in an air conditioned studio talking about how great Nicaragua is.
