It is very difficult to describe how much influence the movie "Das boot" had on me. In Russia, he is popular in narrow circles, and to be honest, one music gives me goosebumps. I have been familiar with the film since early childhood, watched it in the early 2000s from my father's cassette, and my father, in turn, got acquainted with the film back in 1982 or 1983, being a ship's doctor on a Soviet civilian ship. Then, they went to England, Scotland, if I'm not mistaken, the city of Ullapool, where he and a team of officers watched this movie in a cinema in series. And although all of them sailors belong to different nations and states, they have always treated other sailors with great respect, despite the Cold War. An amazing film that does not inculcate hatred for any of the sides shown, despite the big battle in the Atlantic. Das boot to everyone, meine schiff kameraden! this is the greates depiction of german uboat hunting, im glad that you took the DasBoot aproach instead of the movie Greyhound, i mean yeah its more from the perspective of the US Navy but its also a good concept for a short video
