I am aware you can rewrite scenes but then is it rly world in conflict if it's different?

an integrated game mode (land, air and sea), big map, long session, no markers (or at least only for friends at close ranges, like it's currently on AirSim, making radars and recon aircrafts usable), multiple airfields and dynamic objectives, multiples spawns (based on the current SP system, but with a "reserve" vehicle that cost nothing to spawn).... WT can do it all today, the only thing that lacks is Gaijin's will of doing so...

One small mistake i noticed, because it said "1984", M1A1 wouldnt be in service yet, entering only a year later, so US would be stuck with M1 Abrams with 105mm.

Entering service=/=being delivered at combat units Iirc, the M1A1 was delivered to units present at fulda in 1987 Same thing with the ERA a lot of the soviet tank had There was NATO intel report suggesting soviet tanks had received new armor by 1985 in the fulda gap But it was present at very low numbers It standarized several years later

If we are being honest, a 1987 WW3 would have ground to a stalemate in Germany and then someone would have used a tactical nuke to gaina the advantage and that would have set off the nuclear war and ended the conflict.

@@magnum6763 In the 80s the Soviets planned to attack US carrier groups with generally over 100 TU-22s each carrying 2 supersonic AShMs that would be a very tough event for both sides, the the Soviets knew most of the bombers would not make it back but they believed that knocking out a carrier group was worth it.

@@mattseller148 And in the 80s, especially during a war, a US carrier battlegroup would have consisted of a heavily armed carrier, multiple cruisers, multiple destroyers, multiple frigates, multiple auxiliaries (of which quite possibly would include a Sacramento class, which is armed with 2 CIWS and Sea Sparrows), a Kaiser class (again, CIWS, missiles), or a Cimarron class (CIWS). Adding onto the fact that interceptors would tear any bombers in range to bits with missile spam that frankly wouldnt be avoidable due to the engine heat they produce, it would have been a massacre that would likely end with not many missiles being fired, and the ones that were fired probably missing.

@@magnum6763 The KH-22 would be fired from extreme range and the F-14s would only have a little time to respond, they would get most of them I have no doubt, but to say US carrier groups in the Med and Baltic were invicible is silly. The ships at the time mainly used arm launchers like the MK13 to fire their SM-1/SM-2, the Sea Sparrows of the time were not ESSMs and would have been less effective against high mach missiles. The best defenses the US ships would have would be the F-14s and SM-2. The US respected the Anti-ship capability of the TU-22 with KH-22s and knew that the carriers close to the USSR would be in a lot of danger if the war went hot. One reason the US had so many battle groups at the time was so they could afford to loose a few and still win the naval war.

The med is another hand, where it would take a mix of shore and sea systems to actually make a counter, and until said counter could come would most likely stay further away from where the russians could strike easily.
