DASAITA Headunit Review for 2013-17 Honda Accord

Know that people might be having issues with the back up camera and lane watch. Me and my buddy figured it out with a lot of trial and error, but we figured to make it work like factory. The first thing is that, you have to have the right harness for the car model. My buddy’s accord was an 2014 Honda accord EX-L. If you are having issue with the back up camera not showing up, make sure that the small two pin are connected correctly. Example, out of the box, the cables connected as A1 to A. In which, it made the backup camera to not show up when we put it into reverse. We unplugged the A1 from A and plugged in A2 into A. Guess what! It worked! As for the lane watch, we went into the factory setting in extra setting. The code is “126”. After you have entered into the setting, you want to go to canbus and look for “right view”. An make sure that you turn it to normal beside of hide.

@@juju2lit935 In the back of the headhunt, there is a is a pigtail connector. Out of the box, the pigtail that are connected as A1 to A. The cables are small in the back but they are labeled. You want to plug it from each other and find A2 and plug it to A.

For Honda Accord with lane watch to work , they need to get the model HA5206H ( for EX and above model ( CB077 ) not the HA5206 ( for base and Sport model only ).

i had this for a few days, but returned it. the things you get from this unit, in my opinion, are not worth losing the OEM feel of the stock HU. I really wanted to like it though.

@@ULUVSEAN for sure. I recall you're using an Android phone correct? At least for iPhone when a phone call comes in, it doesn't take over the entire screen anymore. At times i wish I just went with the EX trim to get stock apple carplay lol.

I figured out the sound problem… it’s in the settings to adjust the sound of your music when you’re reversing or turning right for ppl that have the right turn camera….

Hello! Will this fit on my Honda Accord LX 2017. I would really like to buy this but I am nervous for things to stop working. I do have the top screen , would installing that mess it up in any way? Display /color What about the sound in the car ? Please tell me everything I need to know

It will fit your 17 LX. Once installed, the top screen will have 3 displays. 2 showing fuel economy (blue background) and 1 a digital clock as seen in the video. You can set the back up camera to display on either the top screen or on your new headunit. There will be new settings to control the audio. IMO the sound is better.

I have a 2013 EX-L with the turn signal camera. I noticed that they offer this with two different harnesses, the CB036 and the CB077. Do you know which one you got? Does the turn camera still work? Also, can you still turn off the top screen if you wanted to?

They eventually sent me the CB077 but we just couldn't get it to work normally. The only way I was able to use the back up and LaneWatch camera was to go into the settings and manually turn them on and off. That's right. Even when putting it into reverse the back up camera did not turn on. And the LaneWatch camera would not turn on with signaling or pressing the button. Had to be done manually. And yes you can "turn off" the top screen. It won't be "off" like pitch black. It will just light up in a blank grey color.

A few weeks ago, I installed said unit on my 2013 Accord EX M6. The only way I got lane watch to work is by hounding DASATA support team only to find out the cables sent to me were inappropriate. I had to move the TFT box to the correct cable. Their documentation sucks big time. Everything seems to be working except the phone buttons on the steering wheel, so I provisioned the source button to be telephone call button. This means calling is not possible with voice, perhaps it works with CarPlay, I didn't try that combo. Also had a problem with automatic radio scanning, had to factory reset the unit. There is P6? help on KZbin, not necessarily for this radio brand. I suspect there is memory leaks with some android apps - I'm an apple person. To me anything associated with google sucks big time. I would probably not buy this unit again, although installation was easy and removable of Honda OEM radio was not that difficult. Bottom line, documentation from DSAITA is terrible and technical support tries, but there is a time lag and language barrier.

Man I installed it in my 2013 outlander sport and it didn't intefer with my backup camera or interface. It looks good though man. The Hotspot portion is worth it if you spend long times in your car. Does your unit's Hotspot turn on by itself when trying to pair to your phone?

Aye bro you can change the settings to where when you switch to backup, the music continues to play. I'm considering going back to OEM cause this headunit got a few faults i dont really fw and it covers up half the screen for the top display unit

Yo, there’s a setting to keep the music going when you back up. I think we have turn off “reversing volume.” I can’t remember for sure, but I know my music works fine. I also bought a Y cable and my backup cam shows on the top and bottom screen, just for the fun of it

Yes! But only in a very inconvenient way. I was not able to get it to work with the button or the indicator. The only way was going through the settings and manually turning it on/off. The radio is still fine. No errors or glitches have happened that wasn't already present since day one. No, it will not void warranty.

I bought this installed it ,then took it out and returned it. Don't get me wrong it looks good in the whip and it's pretty cool but to me it wasn't worth the price.This should be $300-400 .I pretty much had the same exact problems as he did and I wanted my side camera back .I bought a tablet with specs that were better than the head unit and a tablet holder for $175 .I have the same functions just not that beautiful installed look. To each its own i say get it if you don't mind the cons and you got the bread.
