The delayed scream is just a desync between the video and audio, you only hear the sound of the collision (and all the items in her car that go flying) as she starts screaming. Still though whoever accelerates like that is definitely looking at their phone.

I saved a driver from having a crash. I was in left turning lane of round about and stopped (AUD) the driver in the right lane did not see the car on the right that he had to give way to. However he saw that I had stopped so he must of looked to see what I was giving way to and slowed enough to just avoid t-boning the car in front of them

I think installing a water pump with muddy water spraying out the side might be the answer. It's probably illegal but would be fun. As an ex bus driver myself, I've had a few crazies at the window / blocking . One of our drivers even had a crazy uber driver rage the bus and rip the mirror off it before driving off. Plenty of bicycles and pedestrians go half way then follow behind you when they know the walk sign is red. DC probably expected him to stop in the middle; makes no sense for the bicycle to expect right of way there.

Consider that ANY pedestrian on the footpath could turn and step in front of cars anytime they want: they don't have right of way and vehicles should obviously do everything they can to avoid them if they step out, but the cars aren't to blame for someone else breaking the law by walking into their clear path of travel without some kind of traffic control mechanism in place (green walk light, pedestrian crossing etc).

@@g1hau my point wasn’t who’s to be considered liable but the act of being able to avoid the sudden obstacle in front of you but instead of braking you beep and speed up instead because you know your not in wrong and that you can either get some good footage or get them liable to fix your car and that’s the Sydney drivers mentality. I for one rather brake first to avoid the accident all together and get on my way, sure I can then beep after braking to sound out my anger at them doing the wrong thing but at least I didn’t injure or kill someone just because I am in the right.

I’ve recently got off my P’s and now a fully licensed driver. The best advice I can give you is practice makes perfect. I’ve got a lot of experience from being in these situations. I can’t assure you that you won’t have an accident, we all make mistakes. While on my P’s, I hit a wallaby in a forest at 6:30 in the morning. Just be careful and always stay alert.

I am amazed at how many accidents can be avoided but are not. People can clearly see what another driver is doing and have enough time to react. Yet they proceed to have an accident. Example is the driver that hit the bike rider and could easily have avoided. Sure in some instances it is unavoidable but for many others, why? Just my opinion and not just with this episode. Constantly happens.

Neat story time: The top of my street is featured at 10:17 with the motorcycle crash. If the time stamp is correct, the cops full arrested another cyclist just in the road to the right 1 hour later - my road. Pulled him to the ground and cuffed him. There were 8 cop cars, 3 undercover plus 2 ambulances were called. If the time stamp is not daylight savings time, this is that guy and I have a 20 min video of his arrest. His white shoe is still in the middle of the road on that intersection. Edit: I also have dashcam footage of the bike being hauled onto the back of the tow truck.

@@elrey8876 Yea - I think he might have been being chased. I think he went further up the road and turn around and headed back toward where the cammer was going before he was caught. His bike ended up on the grass to the right of the video and he started running down my street to the right. That's when we heard the cops yell to get down on the ground. We then came out and saw him being arrested followed by many marked and unmarked police cars. Most of the story between the dashcam video and me coming out is speculation, but the time stamps are correct and he is wearing the same clothing/bike helmet as the suspect we witness and videoed.

I'm constantly amazed at the amount of people who think ramming someone because that person hasn't obeyed a road law is okay. A few of the dashcam owners are in for a shock when their insurance companies see the footage. No matter what the other person has done, the court will at the very least find you partially responsible if the crash could have been avoided.

That intersection has a very short left turn lane and I suspect the traffic was banked up and the lane going straight was the shorter and better one. DC changed lanes back as soon as was safe but that wasn’t fast enough for the Ford Rager who felt slighted that his short lane got one car length longer and undertook DC on the slip lane.
