Thanks, Sam...I have a "guinea pig" 2004 for vids, and I drive a 2006 I drive (both 3.0L). When I started, I decided to make a video-manual type format. No noises, no accents, no muffled voices...just a step one...then step 2...and so on. If someone needs to fix something I have a video on, they can follow along and complete the repair. If someone needs entertaining, the vids will bore them to death (I know...I can hardly go back and watch them, now that the repair has been done). I plan on making shorts on tools and things, which will have talking. Thanks for watching, Sam!

Just used this video and replaced the light on the dash for the gear shift illumination. Used longlife Sylvaina 2721 bulb and only replaced the one bulb. Thanks so much. Less than an hour to do it. ❤

I own a 2005 Ford Escape, V6, XLT. Previously, I owned an Honda CRV ( forgot the year ) and your video brought back to my mind when I had to remove the CRV cluster to change the bulbs - similar procedure. What I don't like about the Escape, is that every time I need to activate the headlamps, I always have to use the rotor wheel to increase luminosity on the dash. Any way around this? Thanks for all your videos ( for me, the ones on the Escape ). Your presentation format reminds me of the instructional videos in high school(back in the mid 60's): instructions, demonstration to drive home the lesson. Works great.

I feel you, brother. Each dash shot I did I had to turn up the brightness so it would show up on video. I have always said I hated Ford's lights. My main beef is the dome light. At home, I smoke outside, and get in my 2006 Escape. The dome light comes on and stays on for what seems like an eternity. Even when I hit the buttons, it stays on, but will eventually cut off. And yes, the door is completely shut. If it's dark outside, I feel like I'm on display. Anyway, thanks for the kind words...and thanks for watching!

9:26 Hey there! Great video! I’m having and issue with my 05 dash lights staying on after I changed them. I see that my lights are the 4 point connection. Do I need to bend the top tabs down and the bottom tabs up?

Is there a way to test the bulbs before plugging in the battery and turning the cars lights on. I’m having trouble with certain bulbs ands just a hassle going back and forth and back and forth

Anyone know the process for replacing the LED Backlighting on the 2010 Ford Escape Instrument Cluster? Those are not accessible from the back like the 20001-2007 shown in this video. I think they are soldered into the panel. I have 2010 Escape the panel is difficult to disassemble. I'm afraid of breaking it doing this myself.

Question, if the bulbs are white then what makes the gauges look green, is there a green screen i can remove toy change the colors? what ever happened to the indiglo gauge faces?
