I believe I caught them completely at random at the Pyramid Club in New York City in the late '80s. Had never heard of them before that, and never heard about them again. Until today in 2024 while listening to a old radio show. They mentioned Dash Rip Rock and I was like, "Dash Rip Rock? I remember them!"

I known Bill since 1986. Great guy, awesome guitarist, fantastic lyricist. He doesn't get nearly enough credit for his talent.

Danm Good Times - the late 1980s were great for live music in New Orleans with Dash Rip Rock, Cowboy Mouth, The Iguana, and reunions of The Cold and Bag of Donuts p

I have so many memories of seeing these guys at Jimmy's and all the other cool spots. I caught the tail end of Fred's time in the band before he left and formed Cowboy Mouth. I was stoked when Ace of Clubs came out in 89. Simple times back then.

I must've seen 'em 5 or 6 times at Jimmy's. Used to gig there with my band Surgeon General back in the mid-to-late 80s. Loved Dash Rip Rock. Still sounds good.

Love ❤️ this. Been a fan from Lafayette, Louisiana since 1988. Used to jam out at their shows at Nitecaps and Grant St. Dancehall. Great memories. The kids today have no idea 🤷♂️

Awesome! You guys sounded great back in the day. Love the short film! Seen you guys at Zephyr Fest 95 I believe in Marconi Meadows. I remember y'all played "let's smoke some pot", think it was first song. Seen Fred in Cowboy Mouth around the same time at a fest in Lafreniere Park, Jeff Fest?✌🎸

I remember racing home from work at TMC downtown when the mighty cool 'Tul announced they were about to broadcast the self-titled DRR album, got to my uptown home on Calhoun St. just in time to tape it, 1986 I think. The vinyl wasn't out yet. Best years of my life. All those clubs mentioned, as well as the Boot, including a show when Fred sang every song as Bill's voice was shot.

I've often wondered what time period Fred was in DRR - now I see that it was the same time period when I discovered DRR :)

That drummer sounds familiar. I think he was in another band but I can't remember the name of the band.
