As an HK born Canadian, I would say that his Mandarin (seen in other videos) is authentic, but his Cantonese is "off".

Cantonese is only more complicated than Mandarin by a factor of 5 more tones, a few more final consonantal sounds, and some additional dipthongs. I have no trouble switching between the two.
