Doesn't every generation say that about the songs they grew up on?
@shanedaharris6 жыл бұрын
Yes it's said, but we're in a generation where music old and new is widely available. Music has declined because all of the artists are so scared to be real, with the existence of social media I find. The music is all so safe, and though dashboard was relatively safe, he was part of a great wave of music late 90's and early 2000s. 90s were great, just not the pop stuff. Real music and bands. The stuff these days just isn't the same.
@indiefruit6 жыл бұрын
We live in literally the best time ever for music. People are able to listen to basically every recorded song ever for a small subscription each month instead of having to live off whatever they could afford each month. There is still great music created every day, and just because you are too lazy to find it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
@miajones27316 жыл бұрын
Get over it. Every generation always says something similar like what you posted. But I have to disagree on your post.. The thing is it's impossible that new generarion won't hear them because I suppose their parents, especially musically inclined ones, will expose their kids to them.

I saw him at the anniversary tour for Swiss Army Romance, in a small club in New Haven Ct called Toad's Place he opened up and said how he was from Connecticut and the whole crowd sang along with him. Great show. Dashboard is one of the few groups I own all the albums for.

We watch the season pull up its own stakes And catch the last weekend of the last week Before the gold and glimmer have been replaced Another sun soaked season fades away You have stolen my heart You have stolen my heart Invitation only grand farewells Crash the best one of the best ones Clear liquor and cloudy eyed, too early to say goodnight You have stolen my heart You have stolen my heart And from the ballroom floor we are in celebration One good stretch before our hibernation Our dreams assured and we all will sleep well, sleep well Sleep well Sleep well Sleep well You have stolen (my) You have stolen (my) You have stolen my heart I watch you spin around in your highest heels You are the best one of the best ones We all look like we feel You have stolen my You have stolen my You have stolen my heart

I just thought of why the crowds aren't what they used to be......... Like everything else that has gone to shit, it's always the same reason..... Internet, social media, Instagram. You can watch your favorite musician or entertainer wipe their dog's ass now. There is no shock value. So when these cell phone zombies go to a show, it's not like it used to be. People would go nuts before you could watch everyone's every move. People literally film themselves putting food in Tupperware now. Ugh.

Well I mean, somehow people playing video games for tons of people watching is a thing and its like its some kind of respected "career". Tis a degenerate world.

what brand of his acoustic guitar..?? the song..?? hmm.. honestly from me... nothing special about this song.. its just an ordinary bland song.. what make this song is not sounds like completly empty or "melo" a.k.a lame, was only because the sound of the rhythm from the music that comes from a very melodic acoustic guitar to be heard.. so.. what is the brand of that guitar..??? please someone told me.. ive fall in love with that lovely piece of acoustic sound.. 😘😊
@TheBionicleRocks6 жыл бұрын
It’s a Martin guitar . And this is Dashboard’s most mainstream song so that’s why you might find it somewhat generic. Listen to his earlier stuff if you want something really raw and original
