I had a 95 BMW M3 that had the headliner start drooping....took it to a guy in downtown Orlando, FL who worked on nothing but European cars. We talked about his methods and he showed me the 3M adhesive he used, which came in 5-gallon buckets which he described as "extremely expensive." Which explains why the average Joe doesn't use it. Also explains why he charged $500 to restore that headliner. Thanks for this....your patience and craftsmanship is truly impressive.

What I appreciate WB is how you just own up when something goes wrong and then show us how you get it right. Too many YT channels just show perfect results every time and we all know that just doesn't happen. That Sir was a mighty fine job and it looks factory. An unbelievable restoration from something that was really scrap. And yes black headliner ....

Great perseverance, Mike, and the finished result makes it really worthwhile! Anything with 3M on the label is a good choice, and the 3M90 was perfect for that job. If you ever need something with even more "grip", try the 3M Panelbond, which is a fully certified 'structural adhesive' and is even used to stick bridges together (only Interstate bridges though, not railroad ones, apparently...)
