Dashboard Light Dimmer Switch/Headlight Leveling Switch - Seat Leon 1m / Toledo 2

As you can see, my dashboard light dimmer switch is not working right. This little unit also includes the headlight leveling switch.
I'm gonna show you how to remove it and repair it, or replace it.
You only need a small straight-head screwdriver.

very good man love your repairs . now i have an issue you may know. when i open my drivers door the sound alarm for your lights isnt working (when you forget the ligths on and the key is out ) . also my roof lights wont open when the door is open and neither my light in the down left corner of the door. and when i open in the morning my door i dont hear the buzzing sound of the fuel pump . i think that my electronic lock make this all . you know how to fix that ? thanks keep up the good work !

hi. there is a problem with the door lock. some of the electronic connectors in the door lock are interrupted, so the signal that the door is open, does'n reach the on-board computer. I'll make a tutorial soon, how to fix this problem.

@@Sorin_DIY_Mechanical_Nerd hi I have same switch .can you give me advice please .when I turn light switch on lights all work but the switch lights don’t light up .only when I put my hand up behind an wiggle switch they come on.I took it apart and sprayed the switch with contact cleaner but still the same any suggestions thank you

Hi my friend , my switch doesn't come off with this trick . Is there something else I can do to remove it. For seat Toledo 2003 model

hi. most likely one of the 2 plastic clips holding the light switch is jammed. you need to remove the lower part of the dashboard, from under the steering wheel. you need a T25 torx screwdriver. there are 3 screws in the fuse panel. under the steering wheal is a screw in the left side and 2 in the right side. in the left and right side of the steering wheel the panel is hold with plastic clips, pull them out. then you can remove the dashboard. unplug the connectors in the back of the switch. now you can see 2 sharp plastic pins that holds the unit in place. push the 2 pins inside and remove the switch unit.
