I saw some product can wire into the room lamp and charge through the same port

As a 12v installer. So.ething like tgis works best at a stable 12v source. Some dash cams are low voltage designed to be added in a low circuit accesorry

Is there any way you could show us exactly what you did when you connected the ground wire? What bolt did you loosen? I’m sorry, I know these are dumb questions, I just don’t know what I’m doing at all lol

Basically a ground point is anything thats metal. The bolt that I use is what alot of components of the van is grounded to. Using that bolt prevents from using having to use screw that gets drilled to a metal. Im fine with answering questions. Im here to help others learn:). As far as that bolt. You are just basically joining the dash cams ground wire to the rest of the ground thats held by that bolt.

Downfall about not using that type of ground bolt like I used. Youd have to use a self tapping screw and have to drill to a any metal surface(I always recommend using a ground Bolt like I did as its the proper way),but last resort is the drilling a hole method.

@@FlipSideGarage okay, I got ya. So, I’ll loosen the bolt (I heard that the ground is usually black-is that true?) but not like pull it out or anything and then put the lead like under the part of the bolt that’s gonna be screwed back down? That way it won’t skip out..I just wanna make sure I can do this lol

@@ControlAltDella can do it either or. Pull bolt out all the way or halfway.

OPDS is related to airbags I think so I would not touch it

Airbags will be straight forwards on its own circuit. Its not related to airbags. If it was,it would have tripped the airbag light when the fuse was removed;)

@@FlipSideGarageit did for me. My airbag light is on now and wont go away even after I cleared the code with my ThinkDiag
