Living in Arizona. Red light runners are the norm for some people. As well as wrong way drivers, going straight on a red when it's green for left turns. I have a dash cam in my tahoe and have captured some red lights runners.

Currently AZ DPS- our Highway Patrol- is short 500 budgeted officers and needs about 250 more besides those to meet minimum standards; most AZ law Agencies are also very understaffed due to budget issues, so Traffic enforcement is almost non existent. But we keep getting state tax cuts so I guess that is what matters The 101/202 interchange is like a Mad Max movie but so is most of the Phoenix's freeways. I have seen people doing 100 plus on the left shoulder when traffic is moving at 80-85 and our Bikies have learned from CA's worst and they regularly lane split doing 30-40 faster than traffic flow

It's just as bad here in Tucson. Yesterday my dad witnessed a hit and runner. Today we both witnessed a car crash. Everyday it's like this now. We drive into town and see at least one car crash. Everyday people are racing to be first in line. It's so bad here that Californians tell us that Tucson traffic reminds them of California.

This isn't a case of a driver trying to bully their way in, this is a driver trying to bully someone trying to safely merge out. There's plenty of clips of people signaling and insta merging where the cammers either have to break hard to avoid hitting or swerve to avoid, but this was not the case. If cammer simply had not sped up this accident wouldn't have happened

The test is pretty bad. The quiz portion has strange questions such as "how many feet should you give the car in front" or "how long do you have to notify the DMV of a change of address". Nobody knows what 25ft looks like! Nobody updates their driver's license everytime they move! 😂 The driving portion is pretty bad too. They just have you drive around in a loop back to the DMV. At least they test your parallel parking skills, but for what? Most people in Tucson can't parallel park either!

Arizona has dedicated left turn lanes with signal lights that have a steady green arrow, then turn into a flashing yellow and/or solid green. They can be confusing for people not used to them. I'm guessing a lot of these collisions are caused by out of state drivers.

No, they do not "have their own lane." It is not dedicated to them as the sign says "Yield to Ramp Traffic." The yield sign is there to give priority to traffic coming off the freeway. This reduces the chance that traffic will get backed up onto the freeway which could cause significant issues. The lane "belongs" to traffic coming off the ramp.

Expecting them to anticipate a biker overtaking illegally in their blind spot during a single left turn lane while in the intersection is absurd. These people do not bother to look both ways to enter into moving or standing traffic. Realize that others who are driving are looking forward and behind. These people do not have eyes on the sides of their heads to see you inching your way out. Wait until all traffic passes or merge into the flow of traffic. When you cut across, 9 times out of ten, you cause an accident.
