Great episode again! It is amazing how you manage to keep on going. Really appreciated. Now i know this sound is called Probabilistic Gate Sequences. In the genres i like it is as if this is the new psy signature sound like the psy-fart used to be, not really new offcourse, but i like it, a lot. How about having some more episodes about PGS. I would like to see one for Serum (if there is not already one) and most of all for Voltage Modular. I would like to know how to apply ProbGate more in depth.

I had been thinking about making a video on this topic for weeks... on the very day I was about to make it, you released this one :D since you did it first, I had no other option but mentioning you :) Anyway, I believe there is a lot more that can be done in that department, Vital, for not being a modular is incredibly effective for making generative sequences

Nice trick, thanks. You could by the way also keep only the top 25% active on the level remap and do another remap over that area for the filter. Might give a slightly different effect though, for example more continuous on the filter samples when you just use a linear ramp.

Thanks for the killer technique Dash! Too bad we can't modulate the LFO/Remap points in Vital (like in Serum) we could have went way too far with this technique!

Vital is great in many ways. The only thing I miss so far is a swing or shuffle parameter, that I would like to use on this very example here...

nice frequencies, btw - you can of course remap lfos - this way you are basically not limited by lfos limit - just put as many remaps as you want ;)

Is there a way to trigger an envelope via the sample&hold? So the envelope gets only triggered when the sample and hold value is above 50 for example. That would add even more control to a sound like this. Thanks a lot for the awesome content!
@platipo3 жыл бұрын
You can't, as far as I know, a workaround to get similar results could be combining an LFO and a sample&hold generator to make a conditional trigger

Thank you, mate! Great tutorial! Any chance to see those beautiful synths in the end of the phrase? Something like strings in one synth and high notes of some kind of keys. If there is a tutorial on making those kind of synth, I would appreciate a link, thanks in advance. Greetings!

Dash, tx for this, question: when two notes are held, it's random as to when both notes go through the gate. What's the cause? is it frequency-driven?

I followed along with this video and kept having issues where the connection between randomizer just stops working over and over for the connection for oscillator 1 and the filter 1 both. like a bug vital has... I also noticed I made my own preset today like a sequenced pluck and binded the mod wheel to macro 1, saved the preset... ok, if I delete my track , make a new track and load up a fresh state of vital, that macro 1 binded mod wheel is still there no matter what i do, set it to default with my daw, set it to initialize in the plugin, still binded to macro 1, ok.. I then remove the bind to macro 1 , load up my preset and the bind to macro 1 not there anymore for mod wheel. so what i am saying is.. my presets i make are not saving the mod wheel binding to macros.. very buggy software. I did this over and over to make sure it was not me.
@DashGlitch Жыл бұрын
Strange, I've never had that bug, are you certain you're using the internal mod assignment in vital and not the one for your DAW? which DAW are you using?

Hi dude I'm watching many videos of you and must say it really Really help. My question can you make video or maybe you already have one . ?I want to put effect on audio Voice track, and make it sound like Ajja for example, it's not to put just delay or reverb. To put real Effect wich sound like Tremolo,but much effective. Thank you.
