Slew rate limits the gradient of the wave. Or in other words: The slower the slew rate the less the next sample can differ form the previous sample. This creates a kind of distortion. The slew rate is actually an effect of analogue circuits where the amplification cannot follow the input signal anymore.

Mate, your tutorials have completely blown the lid off my sound design. When I now inevitably become incredibly famous, you can have some royalties from my first EP.

Yep! Its a great way to exercise the mind and maybe one day you get the satisfaction of creating something truly your own. Meanwhile, you should support Dash, however you can.

Great explanation. I opened up an instance of Vital yesterday, played with a few presets. Opened a default and started playing with it( tried to see if i could use a wave file as a wave but couldn’t figure it out) and promptly closed it. Ive never had the patience for sound design when im working on a track snd have never been very good at it to begin with. Maybe ill just have to try a sound design session on its own.

It is a pity that I have discovered this synth just a few weeks ago, it is like Serum, but free! I cannot do a final thought about it, because if I use a plugin more often and longer, bugs&intensive CPU usage can be a problem or saving issues. In many plugins I encounter this, especially free ones. I hope Vital will be different.
