Great video, you make everything look so straight forward. I’d love a video with you explaining how you got to where you are now, how you’ve learnt so many skills to fix these cars, and where you get the confidence from to tackle such complex repairs. Best of luck with the BRZ.

Love the fact you covered the chain to minimise damage if it snapped, and for protection you don't see many people taking the necessary precautions now, can't wait to see the finish colour I personally think maybe go for the silver/grey that your replacement panels are. As for GTR deffo a professional
@DaveRebuilds2 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude, yeah I was specifically told by one of my pals to put a cover over the chain in case it bursts. He used the phrase “have you ever been slapped in the face with a brick” when explaining how sore it would be 😂😂. Yeah the GTR will likely go to someone who really knows their onions having read some horror stories online when researching how to do it 😂👍🏻

Lol thanks dude! Yeah last thing you want is for that to ping back at you when it has about 800kg of tension on it 😂, that’s why my foot kept making random appearances on the chain lol. Think the GTR will b going to a pro as I’ve read some horror stories of people who tried it themselves 😂

Hi Dave, trust you are well. Looking good, I was wondering . .. N/S /F wheel rim was there any impact damage on the inner rim. . . Thought was it could have tugged the leg and is pulling the inner wing out. 🤔
@DaveRebuilds2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was wondering the same thing dude, I checked the wheel and it looked ok and both sides appear to have the same measurements (checked off camera lol). I think it’s just the weird mounting plate the wing has to the inner wing that’s bent and causing the outer to sit funny. Will do some more investigating this week tho 👍🏻
@petercross88712 жыл бұрын
@@DaveRebuilds See if out can find an undamaged one locally and take your measurements off that. I am assuming it was not driven after the bump, so you won't know if it's bent anything to do with the steering till you get the tracking checked, still a nice little project. 👍
