At 2:23 it is NOT a compressor stall! You can see a trail behind the plane with the AB still burning (engine is still perfectly running thus it does not fit the compressor stall theory). This is a discharge fuel dump, made by the fuel regulation system in order to decrease fuel pressure in the feed line. This explanation came directly from the FB page of the Rafale Demonstration Team.

Rafale usually gets past 11g's positive and 3g's negative in an airshow where it's possible. The structure is able to withstand 12 pos and 3.4 neg. Except if the security clearances disallow past 9g's like in the US.

Yeah people often see stealth as a box you check, yes or no, when in reality what matters is the radar equivalent surface and in that matter the rafale is pretty good. +long wavelenght radar can detect the F35 (and the rafale) with ease, sure they can't properly guide missiles but they can definetly guide an interceptor to it's target !

For the last decade, rafale had dogfights with F16 from USA, Norway and others... and won every single match It faced the F18 hornet and won any match It faced more recenytly the F22 and it won and against the F35 ... The US announced the F35 won 1 win over 5 fights. France announced it was a 1-1 And France released a Video that the US army didn't want people to know, showing the rafale shooting the F35 (virtually of course) (The F35 cost 3 times more than the rafale) The rafale and french pilots have never lost once against any countries that agree to face them in dogfigth. The UK on eurofighters asked France for a 9 matchs to prove that the Eurofighter was as good as the rafale. Result = 9 win for France.

The F-35 and F-22 were designed to track and target far beyond current aircraft out there, without being tracked themselves. Even if a dogfight occurred, Air Superiority aircraft would be ahead of the F-35 anyways. No! You are so wrong! It's far more complex than that. Look, type on KZbin "Nostradamus French Radar". The video will explain you how a stealthy aircraft is detected from 800 to 3000kms away (in fact, far more than that). If you look closely you'll see a so called stealthy American bomber on this video (at the time it was interpreted as a message from France to US authorities). Note that at least 7 countries have this capability (USA, UK, China, France, Russia, Australia, Iran). Those ionospheric radars are connected to all the aicrafts... even if no one speaks about them as it must be classified. France has facilities like that on many overseas territorities (you can see them on Google Earth and a lot of amateurs are tracking them; there are at least 6 radars like Nostradamus on French oversea territories) and the radars cover pretty much the whole planet. This video tells you why stealth is a scam. And the Americans know it well. HAARP has the same purpose... only deluded people think that it's a tool to change the climate or create earthquakes. But keep being deluded if you want.

Mr. GeforcerFX Mr. GeforcerFX Right you are. That one flame out/ Comp Stall, could've caused the pilot to have a very bad day trying to regain control. I've seen various twin engine fighters loose one of their two engines, and sometimes the remaining engine's thrust kicks the plane in the ass, causing the pilot to lose control. Depending on the Fighter/Pilot, sometimes decreasing (or increasing, depending on the situation) the remaining single engine's power, along with some quick Flap & Rudder skills, can save the pilot, and or, the aircraft. That awesome ass Rafale took it like a champ! It was like, "Compressor stall What! Engine flame out who?", I have no idea what you're talking about, but did you see those badass rolls I just did! LoL. The Rafale is a gorgeous plane, and a very formidable foe, for whomever may challenge it to a death dance in the sky.

From what i was reading after I commented modern aircraft handle them with ease, FADEC reads the stall and reduces fuel automatically and the other engine is auto throttled until the stalled engine regains compression, happens in matter of seconds any more. Can't imagine the risks fighter pilots took before technology was there to cover there asses.

F-35 isn't protected by stealth, the only stealth nowadays is obtained by low flying. The F-35 can't fly low as a Eurocanard can, and F-35 can't fly very high... Radars detect everything, we're no longer in the 80s and 90s, in addition missiles can now lock everything way better than before. Stealth is becoming a tale for children.

That wasn't a flameout. A flameout is when the engine shuts down. Compressor stalls and surging can cause a flameout, however it didn't in this scenario. The pilot would've knocked off the performance if it had a flameout.

Canards are more efficient than conventional horizontal stabilizers/elevators or stabilators...tail feathers...lol! And here is why...a brief lesson. Canards (can) are mini wings that augment the main wings (m) reducing wing loading...net. effect...increased total lift:- Total Lift Lτ = Lm + Lcan. 👍 Conventional tail (ct) aircraft always have downward force for aircraft stability. Main wing must work harder to counteract down force increasing the wing loading...net. effect...reduced total lift:- Total Lift Lτ = Lm - Lct 👎 Also Canards for pitch control are lighter, cheaper & less complicated than vectored thrust. They are more sensitive than conventional tails because it meets the air stream virtually undisturbed & therefore needs less deflection for any given aircraft change of pitch. The US F35 is essentially a 'delta' wing fighter but they have used a conventional tail (stabilator) to control pitch which is not as effective mainly due to reasons mentioned above & because of a 'short moment arm relative to the C of G'. Notice how the 'tail feathers' stick way out at the rear of the aircraft because of the delta wing design...ill conceived idea! ☹️

Rolls very well, turns well too, although with the canard/delta combo you can see it bleed energy hard when it does those turns. Id put it at a similar performance level to the newest F16 blocks or the Eurofighter. Gen4+ for sure, but it would get eaten by Su57, f22 and probably even f35.(once it gets approved for 9Gs in active aircraft software)

Load the Rafale up for combat, then try and fly like that.. It doesn't even hold 11,000 lbs of fuel. It will need external fuel tanks. Then start hanging missiles and bombs on the wings. This Rafale is neutered to impress kids at air shows. F35 loaded for combat does not suffer kinematically like this jet will. These performances from 4th generation aircraft are disingenuous at best and totally devoid of context. How fast could a Rafale go with 19,000 lbs of fuel and 6 AMRAAMS?

I would launch some F 35s to try and stop the Su47s at long range but I would back them up with Rafales in case a dogfight occurred.

Rafale can deal with the Su 47 at long ranges with the new MBDA Meteor missile + Thales RBE2-AESA radar. To be honest, I'd send the Typhoons first, which are specialized in Air-Air combat (equipped with the MBDA Meteor missile). They're supposed to be better than the Rafale in Air-Air missions. I'd watch and send the Rafales if necessary. But I wouldn't trust the F-35, the aircraft is just not ready yet, and judging by the course of events, I wonder if it will be ready one day, or fit to the scenarios of the years to come (Stealth become obsolete because new radars are countering it, low flying become the only way to become stealthy but F-35 can't fly low because of it's design and engine, etc...)
