Recipe "Mushrooms in cream sauce with bread dumplings"
200 gr. king oyster mushrooms
200 gr. oyster mushrooms
4 bread rolls
2 eggs
200 ml milk
250 ml cream
1 tbsp creme fraiche
Leek
Onion
Cherry tomato
Butter/ oil
Herbs
Salt & pepper
Preparation:
To prepare the bread dumplings, dice half an onion and then fry in oil. Cut the bread rolls into small pieces and put them in a bowl. Add salt and milk to the onions and continue to simmer. Meanwhile, roughly chop the parsley and add to the rolls. Put the onion-milk mixture in the bowl with the rolls and add an egg. Then cover with a tea towel and leave to swell.
In the meantime, chop the leek and the second half of the onion. Then cut the mushrooms into slices or cubes. Then knead the bread dumpling mixture, shape it with your hands and bring to the boil in water. Put oil in a pan and fry the sliced mushrooms in it. Season with salt and pepper and then add the onion-leek mixture and pour in the cream. Add a little marjoram and let it simmer. Finally, mix in a little butter, crème fraîche, parsley and sliced cherry tomatoes.
Then arrange the mushroom cream sauce on the plate and add the bread dumplings. Garnish with herbs and enjoy.
