Really love DataLemur and learned SQL mostly from there. For some reason, I was more motivated while working from that platform.

Awesome! It seems to me that the best best to start as a beginner Data analyst is DataLemur and AnalystBuilder. Thank you for this valuable video.

What about Strata Scratch, Christine? Is it overkill to prepare using Stratascratch as I try to break into an entry-level data analyst position? I am not targeting FANG companies; normal companies are fine for me. Also, do you think certifications like pl-300 and AWS cloud practitioner are worth pursuing? I am asking this only in terms of landing a job, not learning, because I think I could learn practically better without doing certification. Your insight would really be helpful!

Hi Chrisine, this is a really insightful video! As someone aspiring to work in data analytics, I don’t know much about the interview process and technical assessments. I recently started learning data analysis, and many of our instructors-who work at companies like Microsoft and Shopify-encouraged us to use generative AI tools like ChatGPT, since they’re widely used in the field. I’m curious, do interviewers ask about leveraging AI for data analysis and problem-solving? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi Christine! Love this video. I was wondering if you could comment on what certificates are actually worth getting? I'm currently doing the Google Data Analytics course and maybe doing the advanced course as well after finishing.
@christinejiangdata5 күн бұрын
Most of the time, certificates are useful for learning the foundations (Google DA and IBM DA certification), but hiring managers aren't going to count them as valuable experience. Certifications that are actually useful on a resume are for specific technical platforms, like a Tableau Certification or Google Cloud Certification, specifically for jobs that emphasize those platforms. My advice is to do something like the Google DA certification to get started, but then move on from certifications and start working on projects (which I talk about in my other vids)!

This was super helpful! I hadn't thought about an interviewer judging which method I used to solve the SQL test. Is there a way to know which methods are more common place or not in preparation for SQL interview questions?

Thanks for another insightful video. I wanted to ask what you think of data challenges like onyx data challenge and maven analytics as a means of creating portfolio projects.
