Hi! If removing a variable improves accuracy, should't a machine learning algorythm disregard it and still get that improved accuracy? Thanks for the soft and the tutorials!!

Is there a particular rule of thumb to decide on the attribute or instance to be removed? Or do I have to evaluate a classifier each time and use the trial and error method?

You can use various feature selection methods such as Information Gain, Chi-Square using filtration methods. You can also use wrapper methods to select important attributes and remove others.
