Hi Keith. I have a question, What do you think what role college degree play on getting a data science job ?

I think a college degree helps companies have the confidence in your abilities for a data science job. It helps you get your foot in the door. This confidence can also be earned in other ways though too. Like if you work as a entry-level data analyst for a few years without a degree, companies will also be able to learn about your skills and you can earn their confidence that you can make the jump to data science. My high-level view on a college degree is that it will make landing your first job easier whether that be data analytics or data science. After you have a few years of experience under your belt, its importance becomes less strong.
