Everything is relative. Just focus on your own stuff and be happy! That's the problem with social media, you only see the highlights of others (mostly). Trust me, I have my ups and downs just like any other human being. Even Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos have good and bad days. The only difference is that they will also have an extra couple of billion dollars on any given day compared to us haha

Just wanted to say that I've always found your channel to be the most helpful YT channel on everything data analytics. Your content is informative yet encouraging, it feels personable-- and after a video I'm always left feeling motivated and inspired to keep pushing towards this career.

Hi, I’ve often come across the opinion that an MLE role isn’t an entry-level job, and in 99% of cases, prior industry experience is required. Is that true? Would it be better to work, for example, 1-2 years as a software engineer or data scientist before seriously considering an MLE position? I would love to know your opinion. Thanks for the video!
@mo-chen18 күн бұрын
Prior industry experience is always a big plus, no matter the role, the company or the country. There are entry level machine learning engineers roles, but given these are more specialised roles, people tend to get into these roles from other similar roles, like data scientist. If you're a complete beginner, taking the data scientist route first is a sensible choice, one I would probably make.

Should I become data engineer first if I want to become a business analyst?
@mo-chen21 күн бұрын
No. If you want to become a business analyst, learn the skills needed to become a BA. DEs and BAs are very different job roles.
@AbcTawte17 күн бұрын
I personally feel the most secure data job is of Data Engineer. There are none of the above professions unless you have a proper data pipeline. Just like in SDE , Devops are jobs are the most secure. I don’t think Datascientists are capable of doing that unless it’s a startup.

Nahh, as long as companies keep outsourcing their data engineers and developers, data analyst support roles will always be in demand because the data will always be bad. But yes, in a perfect world, I agree fully with you.
@mo-chen16 күн бұрын
Can't argue with either of you. It really just depends on the specific company.

hi mo! i have a master in finance and want to transition, what programs would you reccomend? i finished the google program but i felt like it wasn’t as effective. thank you🙂

My best advice would be to start applying to jobs! There's never a perfect moment when you already know everything so starting today is the best you can do. Write a strong resume, have a professional portfolio and start applying :)

Is python really important to master for data analytics jobs?
@mo-chen21 күн бұрын
Not the major technical skill for data analyst roles but very useful for sure.

OK, so you're saying that you don't have to master Microsoft Excel if you were wanting to go the business analyst route?

Can u clear one thing, im currently working as windows application developer using VB NET and MS SQL for long years with this old tech. I need a career transition demanding fields, so i have planned to move towards to Data engineering with Cloud. And recently i got my interest towards AI, some says without ML can pursue Gen AI, Agentic AI jobs.. someone like me which is better career transition??
@mo-chen21 күн бұрын
Both routes pay well so please make sure you pick something you would actually enjoy doing. I can't pick a career path for you I'm afraid :) Only you know what you'd rather do.

What would you say here is the key difference between a data scientist and a ML engineer? Is ML engineer not just a part of being a data scientist?
