She deliberately just sat there saying nothing when he brought the subject of the bill up, it was quite clear that she had no intention whatsoever of contributing to the bill, despite his financial background and his kids, which he had discussed with her at great length over the meal. And this man was far too polite to actually ask anything of her. Then she tells him he can feed his kids on toast and beans as a result of being short of money now that he had paid the full bill! Her arrogance is so beyond measure it's insulting! Be aware that the bill for that meal in this very expensive restaurant in London, is in the region of £120 - £150 at least... and this man spends £200 per week on feeding his kids... so that's the equivalent of almost a week's shopping/food for him and his children! She also had the gall to say how awful it was that he had paid the full bill... yet she still offered absolutely NOTHING toward it! That's not entitlement, it's sheer bloody selfishness, knowing full well that she was probably taking the food out of his kid's mouths. Absolutely dIsgusting behaviour! If the roles were reversed, and this was a woman single-handedly struggling to bring up 10 children, and the male at the table simply refused to acknowledge the bill and just let the female pay it all instead, what would your attitude be then? Quite different I would imagine!

Although since I've been on the internet I get worried about gender issues, because we're in contact with sick USA society where men and women dislike each other. I’ve always worked off the basis if the guy asks the woman out he pays if it’s a blind date it’s 50:50. If the guy really enjoys his time and senses a second date he may like to pay the full bill but shouldn’t be made to feel bad if he doesn’t want to or can’t. If the woman has a good time and wants a second day she shouldn’t be afraid to either say I’ll get the next one or let’s split etc. However, if a woman doesn’t enjoy herself or doesn’t want a second date she should definitely split the bill and part ways on good terms. May not be traditional but the idea of a woman going on a date with no intention of paying and no intention of a second date is shocking.

It is this guy’s responsibility to feed his kids not hers, if he knows he can’t afford to feed them and go on a date then he shouldn’t date. A decent man will never accept money from a woman on a first date unless she forces him.. I always offer to go halves on a first date and I’m fully prepared to pay half but every quality man says no don’t be ridiculous I’ve got this put your money away, and I accept that.. if he accepted me paying half I’d never see him again.. down the line then bills can be split equally.. not all of us are feminists and some of us, myself included, act like and want to be treated like women, not the same as a man. He could have used his words and asked her to go half if that’s what he wanted, instead of internally stewing about it and being all passive aggressive and attempting to use his kids and financial situation as emotional blackmail, and if he can’t afford this first date how would he ever afford a partner long term or have time for one. Alright listen up, Traditionally men have always paid the bill yes, but that's a traditional gesture from back when woman didn't have jobs or the same level of employment. Back when they spent their time at home while the men worked. In this modern age woman have equal rights to men, they earn the same (in most of the sectors, our world is still progressing). So therefore you have men that are stay at home dad's, or only have a little job or simply can't afford it for whatever reason (children etc). This doesn't mean they shouldn't have a social life as some women have said in the comments. Women have always had the bill paid as a result financial aid, but now the world is fairly equal in countries such as England. And now some men need the help as well, yet many some are too ashamed of asking a woman to pay her share. And granted some woman do. Now don't get me wrong i think it's a good gesture to pay the bill, and I would do it on a date. However I hear all these Feminists arguing about rights they already have in this country, an argument they could be using better to help global women, such as Arab ladies. But there's one time I don't hear them... When it's time to pay the bill
