YTP seems to be a countercultural reaction from a generation overexposed to visual propaganda and media generally, they're profane simply because it's disallowed by the original content, the more control over the original content, the greater the temptation toward profanity within this type of art. That's what's interesting about DaThings though, her view of much of her source material isn't always one of force, the tone is lighter and more modern, we're less concerned with post-modernity now and, along with the artform itself, age into post-realism, Noh is giving way to Kabuki.

About 10 years ago, I watched the original Postman Tap youtube poop, and it was one of my absolute favourites, up there with the works of CS188 and fesh pince of blair. I remember laughing so damn much at it. Today, on a whim, I looked it up again, and was blown (away) to see there was now THREE sequels. What a blast this has been!
