I met my wife on an APP as well. I honestly found it "easier" than all the other alternatives. They just need to implement a "background" check for everyone now :)

I love that you had great luck on an app also! Definitely easier especially once you're older and out of what makes those "organic meetings" more accessible. I honestly know I wouldn't have met anyone outside of using an app because of my schedule and the fact that when I'm not working I like hiding out at home like a hermit lol! Definitely would be a great idea to have backgrounds checks, you're right! I had to weed through some doozies on those apps!😅

Thank you so much! ❤ I think it's so healthy and important to be able to be alone with yourself and your thoughts....avoiding that by always chasing new people is probably not a good sign. It's ok to be the Lone Wolf!😁 There was a saying in Spanish I always heard growing up which roughly translates to "better alone than poorly accompanied" and I believe that is true.

@@moraymamakay Yup, we have the same saying in French... Il vaut mieux etre seul que mal acompagne. The issue is society trying to pressure people to fit a certain mold, or people projecting their own insecurities. If someone doesn't have romantic love, they may have other types of love in their lives. As long as you love, and are loved, who cares what kind of love it is that you have... When the time is right, you will meet the right person, if it's meant to be.

Great way to share your story. Course, I'm in my 60's now, and I can't see myself hooking up with anyone on a dating app at this juncture in my life; heck, I can't see me hooking up with anyone ever again! lol

Thank you, Mitch! 😊 You know what's funny.....I actually keep getting emails about an online dating platform for people 50 + so you never know haha!! Although what I do know is that often the longer you are out of a relationship it can get hard to want to go back into one which is perfectly ok! You can get really used to doing things a certain way and even enjoy that alone time. If you do meet someone then they have to complement your life for sure! 😃

Yes, unfortunately, that’s very true! Makes it hard to meet good people, but there are still good ones out there. 😇
