I was single right up to the age of 40. Neither of us have been married nor had children. I love my partner dearly, however we BOTH recognise that we need our own space, and time without each other. We have kept financially independent too. It works for us, 15 years strong. Being in a relationship isn’t the be all and end all for everyone, there’s no rush❤

Hi Liz, I decided at age 50 that I absolutely could not be bothered to go through another relationship and it was THE best decision I think I've ever made 😅. I do what I like, when I like, how I like, at what time I like etc etc. It's just me & my two doggies all the way. It's been 10 years now and I still wouldn't change my life for anything or anyone. I wish you well in your new relationship ❤🥰😘

I am so with you on this. I have nothing against dating sites and new relationships, but I too am so content with my life as a single woman. The only difference I have 1 gorgeous hound not 2! I wish you continued contentment.

After a practice marriage of 31 years, I've been with hubby no.2 for nearly eleven years and married for five of them. My experience of dating sites was nothing but positive. It really was like a box of chocolates... some delish, some okay, and some (like the coffee creams), not for me!♥

I signed up after 2 years of being single and wanting to find someone with shared interests. It was much less intimidating than expected but as Liz said, it is a numbers game! Frog no. 21, and 1 year on, I've never been more content. We would never had met if we both hadn't signed up to online but my goodness me we are so glad we did!

I met someone on line ,i was very skeptical at first but 10 years now and im still with the man i met Everything you spoke about today liz was how it was for us ,texting first ,then a phone call,then the meeting ,kept that short and sweet and he did travel for 2 hours to meet me on my home ground just for a coffee and chat for 2 hours So to all the ladies ,dont be scared ,as liz says give it a go , x

My sister's friend signed her up to a Christian dating app about 2 years ago. She met a lovely man, married him last week, she's 59 and looked so very happy after some very unhappy years previous.

I had great success with dating websites , I was 50 when I divorced.I must say the guys were quite respectful, may be the age group or I was fussy lol . I sometimes wish I still lived on my own and just stayed over weekends and holidays .I liked my space and the sex was so much better 😮You always think the grass is greener on the other side , may be .Good luck ladies 😊 don’t settle ❤

It depends how often you think the grass is greener on the other side? Just occasionally? Occasionally probably normal. But most of the time you have to be happy and content I think.

I’ve been a widow for 11 yrs. 4 yrs after I met a chap that was introduced to me by a friend. We had a 2 yr relationship but I realised he wanted a purse and a nurse to get him thru his divorce. I said goodbye and now I’m loving my freedom. It would be nice to meet a special friend to go have a meal with but why marry? It’s the 21st century-have an affair and enjoy life 🎉

Elite Singles uk is a good one , professional men , quality much better.I didn’t have any problems with the guys , they were all gentlemen.Most of the men were in management and well educated , as was i at the time .Hope that helps .Good luck you have to kiss a few frogs to get your prince xx

I would value to hear Liz' advice on how to deal with ex that you share young children with. Interactions. Having to speak or see each other. Pick ups. Holidays together for example etc. How to avoid toxicity. I also know what it is like to have to live together when already separated.. knowing Liz went through this brings her even closer ❤

After being widowed 6 years ago I am finally ready to meet a new man. I am horrified at the prospect of looking at loads of photos on a small screen so have signed up with an introductions agency, and had a few dates with a nice man, which ahs given me confidence, and hes great company but not a romantic prospect. I have friends who ahve done well on dating apps so am contemplating this but still feel resistant to this method so any tips for really good sites would be very welcome.
