I get why men prefer calls to read more texts and 15min voicenotes but I think Hemah said it better in the previous episode. Sometimes we can’t articulate ourselves in the best possible way in that very moment and you want to make sure you address everything so it’s not a recurring matter in the future. Which also speaks to what Diallo said, there’s a lot of questions to answer to within those texts and he can’t answer all of them so let’s have a conversation instead. I just think realize how your partner communicates coz we all communicate differently. Try meet halfway because a lot gets lost in translation in texts, the way I sent the message is not how you’ll receive and interpret it. Can you tell I’m the read more type😂😂😂we matter ok! I’m trying to learn picking up the phone and calling still, takes mad effort.

I would say write down key points and then call. So you can refer back to your notes if you really have lots you need to get off your chest to said person. It’s very clear that most guys do not receive ‘read more’ or podcast voice notes well 😂. Give ‘em a ring but write some bullet points down so you don’t get lost in conversation and lose out on whatever closure you needed.

I'm from Australia, I'm loving this series , I wish there was an episode where a discussion between both genders occurred, kinda like backchat but obviously less spastic everyone here seems articulate and somewhat level -headed.

Enjoying the episodes. Would love some of the questions to be more geared towards dating “black” specifically, to hear deeper philosophies and perspectives on the importance of being with, growing with, learning, with, building with someone that looks like you. I am Kenyan and see how successful black relationships impact culturally and spiritually, how they can minister to the communities around them when healthy, and even positively affect us financially/economicaly. Maybe these reflections are coming up in future episodes, I believe that focus would make these conversations unique, incredibly introspective and not the General formats we see about being young and in the dating scene. Doing a great job sis ❤️
