Women in the west actually have more sexual market value then men. Statistically, women generally have more sexual partners than men. As a woman, I would hate if the person I'm dating wanted sex right off the bat because Ik 9 times out of 10 he wouldn't commit to a relationship (he'd hit it and quit it) and that's why a lot of women practice celibacy. And this goes both ways as the culture of today encourages women to be more promiscuous. What's so virtuous about spreading your legs to every person you meet?
@rockstarburne
@rockstarburne 3 жыл бұрын
i dont beleive it benefits at all I think ti does the complete oppsoite, i think the idea that Women need to "overcome their sexual oppression" is exactly the type of language that is building this culture where men view sex the way they do. they deep down know a problem with it thats why they want women who arent involved in it but many simple are to naive to recognize that they themselves are a part of the problem.

@@draedon_ it's not about sexual activity. You can be sexually active amd not sleep with every second person you meet. By doing that you show that you don't actually care about who's the person you're sleeping with - you don't want to know about their personality, their life, etc. People generally don't like vanity.

@@rockstarburne Jane Austen use to receive a flood of letters from women in disbelief that she actually enjoyed sex. Women thought it was just a “wifely” duty. They never learned their body, to try to be attractive was sinful, and sexual desire = internal damnation. That is excessive. I understand modesty, however only a small number of people (especially younger) have even moderate numbers of sexual partners. The average age people are losing their virginity is 22 and teen pregnancy is down, as well as the birth rates in general. So, no sexual liberation of women and men is not hurting anyone. It is allowing something natural to be natural instead of guilt and shame ridden. Repression makes people weird and let’s be honest it’s not as if women are any safer in Amish attire.

Man you're really hitting on those points about men wanting a "virgin like woman" when I was younger I sort of had that stupid mentality a little bit. But at the same time I held myself to those same standards. I saw the double standard and I never wanted to be a person that has sex with just anyone I have to feel a real connection to someone because sex is vulnerable and intimate for me. It's dumb as hell that dudes will want to have sex with literally anybody but expect their woman to be a pure nun or something. That kind of mentality I could never fully get behind. I think you're doing good work breaking the stigmas.

I think oftentimes men feel it's not their place to speak on it, or that they need to performatively support women without thinking about it too much. It's lovely to hear an intelligent and compassionate approached applied to the stigmas and challenges affecting men and women respectively without comparing them to each other or making it a competition 💕

Thank you for making the comment about women and purity/sex. Men and women both want sex! If it's consensual and everyone is having a good time what's the issue right?
@1StepForwardToday
@1StepForwardToday 3 жыл бұрын
There's real wisdom in being "pure". It's in ones best interest to treat sex as something of sanctity. To treat it as a precious and beautiful form of bonding and vulnerable self-expression that is reserved only in the sanctity of a committed relationship of mutual love and respect, with someone very special to you, (& of whom you are special to).

@@danielleelizabeth9417 Yes, every adult has the free will and right to choose how they conduct their sex life (as long as it's legal). Tho, there are cultural taboos against sexual debauchery for good reasons. It often leads people towards a variety of consequential effects.
@danielleelizabeth9417
@danielleelizabeth9417 3 жыл бұрын
This is your experience. Have you asked in depth questions to millions of people to back up your what you just stipulated? Many people are unhappy for many reasons; to pin it on “debauchery” is making a judgement based on perhaps your experience or your perceptions of others experience. If one is confident in themselves they carry their confident throughout interactions. If people need validation from others this becomes apparent and not just in sexual situations. Thanks for your opinion though. Also no need to relay that we stick with legal interactions . To feel the need to stipulate to grown adults that they should partake in “legal” sexual interactions when this is obvious comes across awkwardly. Did you have an experience where you needed to demand adults to just partake in legal intercourse? I have never needed this reminder personally. Sex does not have to be equated with debachery or anything unbecoming. The fact that is your go to analysis relays to me your experience with sex has not been pleasant at times. I wish you the best; and hope you can keep an open mind in sexual interactions and in life in general.
@1StepForwardToday
@1StepForwardToday 3 жыл бұрын
@@danielleelizabeth9417 No, my post wasn't intended as a reflection of my own sexual experiences, but rather, an attempt at an objective overview on the subject. In my previous post, I emphasized "legal" sex, simply as a way to be more precise and clear (to eliminate all variables of illegal sexual behavior). The intent of my reply was to point out that although people have the right to determine their own sexual behaviors, however, one's choices and their sexual behavior has significant effects upon the individual and the society. The psychological and emotional scars resulting from uncommitted sexual relationships precipitate anxiety, low self-esteem, suicidal tendencies, divorce, and family breakdown. Sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS, and unwanted pregnancies raise concerns about public health and welfare. ▪︎Health Consequences There is no denying the catastrophic effects of the sexual revolution. In the 1950s, before the onset of this revolution, there were two notable sexual diseases worldwide: syphilis and gonorrhea. Various other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) were known only in the world of prostitution. Doctors have now identified more than 25 kinds of STDs. According to the World Health Organization, “More than 1 million people acquire a sexually transmitted infection (STI) every day,” and “Each year, an estimated 500 million people become ill with one of 4 STIs: chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and trichomoniasis." The effects of these diseases range from minor discomfort to chronic pain, infertility, and, in some cases, death. ▪︎Psychological Consequences AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases spread in proportion to the decline in moral values and faithful relationships between men and women. Although sexually active people may escape contracting a sexually transmitted disease or having an unwanted pregnancy, there is more at risk than these physical consequences. The psychological impact of sexual relationships outside of marriage can sometimes be even more profound and long-lasting than the physical results. In addition, there are social consequences -- such as pornography, prostitution, and children born out of wedlock -- that have serious implications for the wider community. These aspects are rarely addressed in most sex education programs. ▪︎Negative Impact on Society An intricate connection between sex and the forces of love, life, lineage, and conscience extends the influence of sexual behavior far beyond its effects upon the two individuals involved. Complex issues arising from promiscuity have a negative impact upon families, communities, and nations as well as the physiological and psychological health of sexual partners. ▪︎Pornography Many people consider pornography to be a way to obtain harmless pleasure. But a U.S. Attorney General's Report and several independent studies have shown conclusively that this is not the case. There is a correlation between the increase in pornography and the increase in rapes and sexual violence. Long-term exposure to pornography creates an emotional withdrawal, greater acceptance of violence toward women, less sympathy toward rape victims, and desensitization to violence. Such images of easy sex with willing women and children are linked to soaring sex crime rates. There is evidence that pornography often correlates with organized crime and drug trafficking. ▪︎Prostitution Like pornography, the business of prostitution and the practice of sex outside of marriage feed upon each other. Prostitution reduces whole persons to the economic value of their sexual organs. ▪︎Domestic Violence Sex apart from marriage is associated with increased domestic violence. Far more violence occurs between unmarried partners than between husband and wife. For instance, cohabitating couples are more than three times likely to have their fights escalate to shoving, hitting, and throwing things compared to married couples." A couple of reasons why this happens is because cohabiters tend to be less connected to their network of kin and peers so there is more isolation and anonymity. ▪︎Family Breakdown Extramarital affairs strike at the very heart of the family -- the marriage vow. Infidelity unravels all the bonds of love and obligation. It causes upheaval in the families of both partners, including the betrayed spouses, children, relatives, and friends. In overturning traditional values and authority, the sexual revolution promised freedom from restraints. The products of modern technology offer imperfect protection from disease and unwanted pregnancy. There are no condoms to shield the heart from pain. After several decades, the psychological and social consequences are becoming apparent. ▪︎Sex without Commitment The media glorified this new immorality, since it boosted sales of products, movies, and music. The public could be manipulated through sexual arousal. In an effort to outdo each other, entertainers have been constantly pushing back the limits of acceptability. Thanks to the entertainment industry, which has become the primary agent for promoting the values of the sexual revolution throughout the world, young people are growing up in a highly sexualized environment. Every day they are bombarded by sexual messages via TV, movies, videos, advertisements (especially on the internet), books, magazines, and music, most of which promote the physical pleasures of sex and downplay any element of responsibility. Premarital and extramarital sexual relations are depicted as glamorous, exciting, and generally without negative consequences. Young people are being fed a never-ending diet of unrealistic portrayals of the sexual experience. ▪︎Children Born Out of Wedlock A child born outside of marriage presents a host of challenges to the mother. The impact of unwed parenthood on mothers can be grave. Girls who become pregnant are likely to leave school, limiting their potential for educational advancement and economic security. Unwed mothers generally find it difficult to get married, because few men are willing to take care of another man's child. All these factors contribute to poverty. In 2013, 3.5 thousand babies were born to unmarried teenagers.63% of unwed teen mothers in the U.S. receive government aid within the first year. Taxpayers paid 9.4 billion dollars just in the year 2010 for costs associated with teen childbearing in the United States.

Fascinating insight particularly on the sex stuff. I hope one day our society can reach that state of chilled out-ness about sex while still acknowledging that it is an intimate and meaningful things. It would be a utopia for relationships!

@Anthony Recenello ive realised most of my insecurities as a young woman stem from misogyny- men not understanding or fearing woman and their bodies and shaming them for it. It has made us feel like we have to be perfect all the time

@@kearakoterwas9071 I’m sorry to hear that, unfortunately that’s a problem with society, and I think in the future, thanks to the progressive nature of our generation, these things will change in time.

@@benwright3430 I bloody hope so- perhaps future generations will have it easier. I hope to raise some pretty woke kids haha. Hopefully they can at least be aware of where these things stem from earlier in life. I also think that there's a lot of freedom in figuring out what is at the root of some habitual thought patterns and behaviours in our society. It certainly helped me to let go of some of the things I was scared of and feel empowered. I wish people talked about this stuff more

I enjoy your content so much! you give great insight into a lot of situations that I wouldn't have noticed such as the fast-talking theory on one of your other videos. Can you do one with the Ace Family, I used to be such a fan, but for some reason that I can't pinpoint, I don't watch them anymore.

I agree with the personality thing. I have seen actors I find attractive only in certain movies or shows even though they are still physically attractive. It might explain why people always tell me that I look 1000x prettier/more attractive in person.

"Knowing how to be socially confident is so important. It’s unfortunate, too bad, tragic, because the majority of the education we get in school, is academics such as Chemistry, Physics, or Math, History, but in the real world, none of those things really matter. It’s really your ability to inspire, communicate, to lead, and engage people that’s going to move you in upper management if you’re climbing a corporate ladder, and what gets you a date if you’re single, and you want to put yourself out there, and even build a brand new network if you’re in a new city. That’s what it means to me."

THANK YOU FOR SAYING WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE DEGRADED FOR WANTING TO HAVE SEX!!! There is nothing wrong with being confident in your sexuality and exceeding it between consenting adults. Your right it’s a cultural stigma; in Europe it’s slightly different. So glad I have traveled abroad and have interacted with men who respect not the idea of me but the genuine me. Being a capable, confident and sexual woman.
