I am so thankful for this show, I'm unable to attend church, that doesn't stop me from praising the Lord, telling him how awesome he is. I have had almost everything happen to me, & I'm still here. Please pray for me, Alice Flippo Johnson, Louisville Ky, but I spent a lot of my life in Southern Missouri. My spouse is a disabled vet, please pray for him, & last but not least please pray for our President Trump & his family & America. Thank y'all for y'alls ministry.

Y'all change topics faster than a woman changes shoes 😂😂😂💖 My mother was in the clinic to abort me 52yrs ago and couldn't do it. Years later they said _my_ eighth baby would kill me because of my health (plus it turned out he had a large tumor in his lung) and even the leader of my Church OK'd an abortion but we said no. Our son is 14, I'm still (barely, lol) alive. Doctor's aren't always right. It's called a "practice" for a reason.

Praise God! We have one child and people, godless people, look at us twice for having one child. Of course! Because God told us "Be fuirtfull and multiply." So the Evil One is tiring to stop that by murder aka Abortion.

@@wesleywright7796 They want us to purchase sterilized dogs & cats from shelters in lieu of bearing fruit of our own loins, because that's what they do. You said it, they're godless. Even if they call themselves believers, the fact they judge, prejudice, & think to force their ways on others fully reveals their fruit. Love your one child & train him or her up in the path of righteousness as the world is going to hell in a handbasket of doggie treats, squeaky toys, & premium kitty litter. Nothing wrong with saving an animal from imminent death. But condemning two parents for not even replacing themselves is. Two shall become one wasn't meant to foster childless homes where people worship the creation instead of the Creator. Blessings. Enjoy that one child. He or she will grow up so fast. And I hope that child outlives you & that both of you live a long time. (My in-laws only had one son & as he died four years ago, they are forever devastated as so am I.) Ignore the people who are detractors, & love while & whenever you can. Show love every day.

It's very easy sometimes to sit here at home and think what we do living our lives is so hard. We don't know the half of it. The things suffered by missionaries all over the world is very hard to fathom unless you've been there. Thank you folks, all of you who have any part in this podcast. I've never really wanted to be wealthy and I'm not -- but I'm doing okay -- we eat. I cry for the agonies the Apostles suffered and for what Christ Jesus suffered on the cross because it makes me ever aware of the sacrifices which have been made to bring Jesus to the world. Again, thank you all for what you do. May God continue to bless ths wonderful work!

I want to share that I recently found your podcast so I'm going back to listen to all the podcast. I miss my Daddy so much listening to yah all. I'm from Sterling Illinois. I'm number 2 of my Dads 4 daughters no brothers. I fished with Dad and helped run outlines. 2 of my sisters hunted with Dad, my brother inlaw would pick Dad up and carry him across the deeper creeks. Can't say Dad was a geeat hunter or fisherman but he taught many kids how to fish. Back in the late 60s Dad got a box of unusable cheese from Kraft. He set up an old table with a hand grinder. The neighborhood kids lined up anxiously waiting their turn to crank their turn grinding the stinky cheese bait and add a variety of dry products. To this day some of that catfish stink bait still exists. My nephew has several containers and I have 1 container. Continue sharing the love of the Savior My Dad didn't learn how to read until he was in his 60s. He wanted to mske up for lost time.

Watching DD all the way through, I knew you had no instruments in your church. Not a problem. As the Drummer and Bass player in my church, I find myself very much in the spirit of the Lord when I play. Even when I play my guitar in my studio, the Lord is there.
@scotishcovenanters
@scotishcovenanters 4 жыл бұрын
The reason that some churches don't have instruments in the church service is that instruments are found nowhere WITHIN a church service, not in the Old Testament nor in the New. Instruments were not used as the pattern of worship WITHIN the Tabernacle service, nor WITHIN and AS A PART OF the Temple service, nor the first church services of the New Testament. We would LIKE to see it in scripture as the pattern of worship laid out for us WITHIN a service, but it just isn't.

My name is Jackson, I’m from the St Louis area and I absolutely love your podcast! Do you find it easier to present the Gospel to certain people than others? For some people, I feel like it’s almost easy and I can see God working greatly in the conversation. But with others, I feel so overcome with fear that is paralyzes me and I just feel this insane weight on my heart. It’s become a huge struggle I’ve been continually praying to God about for more boldness, but is very discouraging. I feel like a failure every time.

Raised church of Christ, acappella is the only thing I know. And just like Aaron's sons display of worship that was unacceptable to God and He put them down for it; we don't want to worship God without humility and reverence. However, I do see your point on instruments but it'd sure be hard for a lot of folks to accept that in worship. Like my grandma always said, 'I'd have to go to bed if they brought a pi-ana' into the church house. ' Love you guys! Question: My 15 year old is ate up with duck hunting. I'm from the same accapella church fellowship. I also find help for circumstances hrough Celebrate Recovery. I feel a cognitive dissonance worshipping with the CR band. I feel like I'm torn in half. I have grown up hearing no mechanical instruments in worship based on Aaron's sons being destroyed because they used a "strange fire" so we should worship properly or we will perish. But I have been baptized and I'm trying live faithfully. Also there are no example in the New Testament of using instruments in worship. I see the musicians authentically worship and me responding but they are lost if the instruments malfunction and its so much simpler and intimate to sing. I'm not trying to judge; I'm sharing my dilemma. Not looking for negative comments.
