My husband and i were exactly like jake and tara. We were in highschool though when we started dating. We had ROUGH childhoods. I was homeless after my dads suicide and eventually moved in with him and his addict mom. When we were 18 we decided to break up we were kids. We stayed best friends, went on double dates, wing manned for eachother. Girls slept over, i had boys sleep over. It was all totally fine. We never fought, got weird or anything. At 20 we got back together. Married at 23. Weve been together happily since. I am SO GLAD we had that time apart. I see others struggle if theres someone better, or if theyre missing out. We do not have that at all. Ive never seen an almost healthy relationship so ours blows my mind. Weve never yelled at eachother, we vommunicate about everything, respect boundaries, and both extremely secure in our relationship. When we got back together it felt different, sure, and where we were meant to be. We didnt break up to get back together we broke up to live and see what happened.

You can tell when Jake is talking about how Tara puts her stress on other people or something like that was said she pointed to zach in like a "Yup I do that to you now" kind of way, and Zach kept on trying to join the conversation trying to say his experience with her on that topic but Jake just went dark mode and didn't let Zach talk😭🤣🤣 Also when Tara and Zach had that little moment when he said he is more of a 80/20 rubbing his arm while looking at each other until Jake asked "what do yall think is mine?" I don't know it was just a little moment I spotted😂

Based on observing their dynamic post-breakup, it's clear that Jake and Tara are still very much inclined toward each other. They seem to have faith that they can get back together whenever they want, which is why they prefer to be free for now. Tara has mentioned that if she ever marries, it will be to Jake, supporting your theory that they might marry in their 30s. I've noticed that Tara remains romantically and emotionally attached to Jake. It's true that Jake expresses that less, likely because he initiated the breakup. Jake and Tara won't let go of each other completely; they act more like a couple now than before, almost like a married couple, subconsciously asserting their previous claims on one another. They don't pull away from this but rather find solace in knowing they still have each other. Jake and Tara always know what to say to each other in any situation. They continued many things which only couples do. Temporarily staying friends and becoming individuals was the healthiest way to preserve their relationship for future. Their connection and attachment will be a significant obstacle for their future partners. For example, Zach's well-organized responses are overshadowed by Jake's regular personality. This will likely happen with all their potential partners. They were afraid of losing each other by dragging their relationship, when they can grow individually and return to each other when the time is right. They claim their love allowed them to set each other free, but it seems they do so out of fear of growing apart while growing up. While you may think they are purely platonic now, the more you watch them, the more you’ll understand their diverse and conflicting emotions toward each other. Those actually reveal all possibilities and depicts reality.

I think something to take into account with Jake about his personality is that he has autism. his intentions, his "messiness", his passion for his work, his need to be liked, and his way of communicating with people. obviously its not a huge effect, but it does kind of explain how he's more healthy in this relationship than how most neurotypical people would be.

I think you might be right about Zach feeling like he has the torch now, he jokes about the fact that they kinda act like they are in a relationship without the “benefits.” I agree that it is really hard to tell if he actually feels that way or if it is just an observation because him and Tara are so close that they occasionally act like boyfriend and girlfriend. What I will say is that I would be afraid for them if they do end up hooking up in a romantic way because I don’t see that working out long term, I also could see it causing issues so I hope they just stay good friends forever 😂

Okay you did it again! I’m a bit late to the video but worth the wait! The fact that they were so healthy and were already individuals with their own worths, was what threw me off with their break up video. The moment you called out if they would still be friends or in each others lives, I do believe so. Since they are still in contact with each others parents, have the same friends, Jake is the dad of her dog, etc. But I do see your point if that was still on this level if there was no KZbin. The way they look at each other and how Tara took something out of his hair, it’s just that intens love that just remains between them, so lovely! I think that’s why people (including me) really wanted them to get back together. Their chemistry is just so healthy and lovely! Your reaction to the 3 pointers was gold, you were absolutely right! This is really random but more evidence that Zach may like Tara is the in many podcast before Tara and Zach even met they said that Zach’s love language is acts of service and Zach has done many things for Tara. I’m not sure about this but Tara mentioned someone bought her 3 pots of flowers for Valentine’s Day and jarred, Alyssa, and Zach all gave a subtle hint the Zach left them. He also got in contact with Paris Hilton so Tara can talk to her idol and he got her celebrity crush on their podcast. And he even bought her a custom necklace.

Are you serious dear Anthony? 16:28 - says every man who gaslights his girls into thinking they're insecure and jealous when he's just being promiscuous. By the way, I'm so surprised by your black-and-white approach to relationships, especially Zack and Tara. I see a lot of sexual tension between them, and (if being a woman myself gives me any more credibility in this...) the way Tara talks to Zack is exactly the way many women would speak to a guy they like. Making it playful but the most obvious ever... Her reactions of disgust toward Zack are obviously so exaggerated to serve as a cover-up. But not only are they not convincing in their exaggeration - they are purposely not convincing. Because she doesn't actually want to make him think she doesn't like him. It's flirting...... Man I didn't study whatever you studied and I don't mean to undermine your entire life career, but to me she's so clearly into him.. She doesn't have to lick her lips and salivate to show it. You cannot see her attraction to Zack in this video though, I agree. Again, many possible reasons, the most obvious being it would be awkward to face Zack when he's just the interviewer in this episode. This may be hyperbole but I get the impression that in your opinion, someone either likes a person, or they're 200% totally platonic... Come on. All relationships are a spectrum. You meet with people because you're attracted to some of their qualities. And this applies to all relationships. But male-female friendships... ahh.. I honestly don't think they're possible. You're either getting so close and intimate it's not much different than dating or you're not getting intimate enough to even call each other more than acquaintances... If there's truly a way to balance between those two.. a way of balancing between being casual and careless, ignoring the necessary minimum of sexual tension.. Well maybe. But still, do we forget about something like emotional cheating? And I think this type of relationship is inaccessible to most mortals, so I think we should have limited trust in ourselves and not have friends of the opposite sex when we are in a relationship. (Yes, I know that I am leaving out bisexual people in this picture and it will have to stay that way for now because I don't have a clear approach to their friendships yet). That's my opinion. Since every relationship has its own rules, if both people think it's okay to have friends of the opposite sex then so be it, it's their business. Worse when one person gaslights the other into thinking they're toxic to set a boundary like that :) And here we come back to the topic of why people enter relationships. Another topic where I disagree with you... This Buddhistic-kinda way of saying that you have to be completely happy without a relationship and only then enter into it.. it obviously sounds cool, but it is, in my opinion, unrealistic or at least impractical. I enter into a relationship because it gives me some benefit and because it fills some of the gaps in my imperfect personality. I wouldn't go through all the relationship struggles if I didn't ultimately feel that I'm better off with that person than without them. You don't have to both be a 100 to get into a healthy relationship. (although I understand your point of view because I agree it truly is real unconditional love when you are with someone not because you need them, but because you simply choose it.. but like I said I think it's just a beautiful-sounding theory having nothing to do with practicality). As for Zach taking Jake's seat when he left, there are at least 3 reasons. First of all, that's his job. He makes content. He's not gonna just sit there stiffly. Also he mentioned how he's 'having scoliosis' sitting there so I wouldn't be surprised if he used the opportunity to straighten his sore spine. Okie I think that's all I have to say. My question is if Tara is such a forthright person who usually is the one to make the first move, as we saw between Tara and Jake, why doesn’t she just get into a relationship with Zach, even if secretive? There seems to be no downside, and all the upside. And how everyone including Tara says that her emotions are always on her face. Of course there is subtlety in attraction and social skills-but I just don’t see it here. I love hearing your thoughts, though! Please keep it up cuz this type of discussion is my favorite. 😊

Ooo actually believe it or not Anthony Tara is known to have issues with letting go of people!😂 The girl keeps in touch with people from preschool, all of her exes, her old assistants, and she even still contacts her exes from school even wishing them happy birthday every single year even if the other person doesn't respond back 😭She's known to just not let go of anyone no matter what so I get why its crazy but thats really just her so its not even cuz youtube that shes the same with jake! 😂 She's admitted that not a single day goes by where she isnt thinking of people from her past

I like it personally, but picture how the current partner might feel some typa way about all that like how she would do things such as dm exes stuff like "happy birthday/congrats" even when she's in a relationship, or keeps gifts and pictures to remember them, could it cause problems? 🤔 I would hope not!! Luckily jake doesnt have jealous bone in him haha Or what if she hangs on to friends who arent worth the effort😢 Should we still try to nurture that when it could hurt ourselves or others?

But so far she’s had no problems living her life this way. So who are we to judge when everything is going fine for her. Until the situation arises then we’ll see but until then we just watch her live her happy life.
