ikr, ive given up on finding a decent man. ive tried dating sites, tinder, local dating groups on Facebook, and even asking out the guy myself. got nothing but rejections, dead ends and friend zones. so finally decided to say the hell with it, and now really enjoy the benefits of being single and dont feel sorry for myself anymore. i enjoy everything that you listed, but also love not having the anxiety of worrying about being cheated on, left for someone prettier and skinny, constantly told that I'm not good enough, or dealing with any other kind of abuse. and i enjoy being able to make my own decisions without having to consult someone else about it.

@tinalewis67822 жыл бұрын
I'd like to point out something to the folks who hesitate to date a co-worker (unless it's a written company policy, then you have other issues to consider.) I met my husband when we were both working for a small insurance company in 1996. I worked for that company for about 3 years and my husband worked there for about 2 years. That's nothing compared with a marriage! We're planning a trip next year to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We hardly even remember working for that company - it was decades ago and the 2 - 3 years we spent there didn't amount to much in terms of time or career. We would have missed a lifetime of love if we obeyed an arbitrary rule about dating co-workers. (I suspect some old corporate guy made up that rule for his own convenience.) It's a truly silly rule and I'm grateful every day that I didn't listen.

In my experience, at the old age of 43, lol, is that you have to meet someone in your life spontaneously. I've never had luck on any dating apps. You gotta get out and just be yourself and when you not even thinking about meeting someone is when you will come across that someone special. So basically I think that destiny has to be involved and not the internet. Just my opinion though.

If you have a cause you’re passionate for & put yourself into it, I suspect you’ll find lots of lasting friendships (and who knows, maybe a relationship) along the way. And most importantly, you won’t lose yourself, because you’ll be doing what you already love! So it won’t be wasted time. 🥰 I met my husband in a youth group/Bible study when I was 15 & he was 17 (just babies ourselves). I’m 24 now, married almost 4 years! You won't meet "That Person" if you don't try. Back in the 90s when I was in college, a mutual friend pushed me to work on a computer project with a guy I had never met. We were both very shy, but we hit it off instantly. I think I knew he was "The One" and it scared the crap out of me. LoL. We became instant best friends, and were together constantly or on the phone. (Just as friends, nothing more) It wasn't until about 2 years later when I talked about moving away that he made a move. Again scared the crap out of me. I was so worried about my weight, but he didn't care. He loved me for who I was.....fast forward almost 25yrs, and we are still together.

Yes, your person would have to be someone who is confident in themselves and have their own interests. Someone who would not crave the limelight or be intimidated by a vibrant, beautiful woman like yourself. My partner left me five years ago for someone younger and it's been hard for a while. BUT, the single life is fantastic. I've grown back into myself and enjoy volunteer work among animals and people in need. I don't think you should take dating as business interview. The position you are trying to fill might be a tree men job - I don't mean it in a dirty way. I mean you might consider that some of the requirements might be fulfilled by friends or professionals. Make sure you enjoy the dates, date like you have all the time in the world and don't rush to conclusions. Of course if the guy is waving big red flag, don't waste your time, but don't give up on guys you evaluate as a friend material. Being in love is so special I wish you all the happiness in the world. That doesn't mean you can't be happy without a man, I'm just saying that having someone to share the happiness is nice.

Can I suggest, not to look at dating as a big deal, keep the dates small, go for coffee, give most a chance, enjoy the interaction, keep it clean. Put the list away as ironically you’ll waste time because it’ll prevent you from meeting many. Know your boundaries enjoy the dates, don’t put so much pressure on the dating game, you’re convoluting it. Enjoy the process and see where things go. Don’t try just do.

Conventions! It helps having a similar interest. That is how I met my person! good luck, but in my experience is that you find the most interesting people when you aren't looking for them

Dating apps aren't a thing in my country , but I saw people from USA say that dating apps are filled with playboys and most don't seek serious relationships . Hope you will find the right person soon ❤️

I just wanna say I absolutely adore you and wish you lived in Orlando so we could hang out lol also I have been married for 30 years and I met my husband thru my best friend who met him at church! I don’t know how you ladies date now a day with all the apps? Seems like most people are so fake!! Your look was so adorable and I love thred up!!!

I met my current partner because we were on the same sports team. Sports teams are a great way to meet people, basically half the people on the team were dating each other 😅

I met someone online. I did not join an app though, I used a dating site and I made sure it was one where you had to pay. I figured that anyone on the site who had paid would be serious about finding someone too. I met my boyfriend and we have been together for 4.5 years now and just bought a house together, so it worked out well for me.

To be fair, I met my boyfriend after being tinder for about a year. Before him, I'd met mostly f**** buddies I'd never considered being in an actual relationship with. Then he swooped in and really took me by surprise. To think that, at first, I didn't even wanna go on that date cause I'd had an afwul day. So glad I stuck with tinder and let my best friend convince me to go that day. I wouldn't give up just yet - take a break and go take an evening class or something. You can still hop back on the apps if you want to after that.

Many friends have met their spouses online But it took dates and trial and error Nowadays especially during a pandemic meeting people isn't easy By putting yourself out there you are trying Keep at it Knowing what we don't want is just as important as knowing what we want But eventually someone will just click Good luck. :)

Dating is the worst for sure. 😖 I stay out of it. My ex is actually really amazing we just tried for too long to make something work when there wasn't real chemistry. Your looks are amazing. 🤩 I'm learning how to dress so much from you.
