“If you are training a lot”. Girl. She is not an Olympic athlete. She is working out a normal amount that everyone should be daily. These girls have got to chill on their delusion. Like Alex Rodriguez w her protein shakes after like light 20 min workout. I can’t Do they not just realize they can just have regular 3 meals a day? She keeps doing the bullshit thing Alex does too, which is just being obsessed with protein and protein alone. And not worrying about how many carbs are in something or how processed it is. Drives me insane.

Someone her size should not be running. It's dangerous. Many marathon runners carb and protein load the night before the big race. The ones I know have been restricting so they eat their guilty pleasure foods. Those snacks are crap food that try to trick you into thinking their healthy. Most of the time if you check the macros, they are not much better than the ones that don't pretend that their healthy. Kashi and Kind make higher protein, lower sugar granola bars that taste better than quest. And cost less.

There are some amazingly low sugar protein/energy bars around and they don’t all depend on no-calorie sweeteners. You just have to read labels. How much sugar is ok also depends on what else you are eating and drinking that day.

I’ve been on and off Weight Watchers since I was 12, done keto, Atkins, calorie/macro tracking and almost needed a kidney transplant after a botched WLS. Ozempic is miserable, but I’ve lost 50 pounds so far, down from 310. I’m glad that you didn’t need medication to lose your weight but for some of us this is the last remaining option.

Just checked out Quest Chips. We can get them online in the uk for £3.25 for 1 packet or a box of 8 for £22.95. And this "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" is bullshit. I rarely eat breakfast, most of the time, I can last until the afternoon without eating and I can still function. The saying to me is a myth if there ever was one. Regarding Anna running, this is a huge no no at her size. The weight she's carrying right now will be overbearing on her joints. If her personal trainer is advising her to run, then I'm afraid he's ripping her off and she needs a new truthful trainer.

She’s been huge for years on here. I’m on Ozempic for Type 2 which works beautifully. Ozempic is the cure for Type 2. I had Weightloss surgery. Ozempic works the way WLS works in curbing the appetite. The thing everyone needs to do is to stop eating when it kicks in and you’re full. Don’t push it or eat when you’re too full. I’ve dropped 20 pounds in six weeks. I’m a size 12 down from 470 to 200. I’m not worried about regaining or Ozempic face. I don’t eat chips or junk. I don’t eat between meals. Runners do something called carb loading before a race. It’s to help fuel their bodies for a long marathon. He ate all those chicken nuggets because they’re loaded with carbohydrates. Unless you’re running miles, there is no need to consume that many! Also, quest chips have some ingredients in them that are known to cause weight gain. They taste okay for an occasional snack, but not everyday.
@jwoolman5
@jwoolman5 Жыл бұрын
Some chips have high enough protein and fiber and good enough ingredients for me to consider as regular food, but I always wait for deep discounts. I consider how much they cost per gram of protein, and if it’s comparable with other protein sources for me and tastes good - I might buy it at the right price. They are parts of meals for me, not “snacks” and have to provide nutrients that I need. I also get a lot of freebies from Thrive Market (protein bars or chips or drinks, nuts, seeds, etc.) and plan my orders according to whether or not I want the freebie of the day. I have to carefully consider ingredients because of allergies, intolerances as well as my refusal to eat animal products (also am allergic to dairy and egg…). So that limits me quite a bit in the alleged “snack aisle” and frozen foods. I also am sensitive to chicory root extract (3 days of severe pain from trapped gas) and allulose (24 hours of severe gas pain) and don’t really like stevia unless balanced by some sugar alcohol (no problems with them), cane sugar etc. Can’t stand the taste of artificial sweeteners. Not big on chocolate (caramel taste is my preference). If you can eat almost anything, you just can’t imagine…. Not a cook, don’t even have a stove. So I go for simple most of the time. I was eating apples and peanut butter while watching this. That a part of a meal, not a snack. High protein/fiber chips can be useful for me when I need to take pills - I often need to eat something between each one. Sometimes pieces of fruit or nuts work, sometimes they don’t. Good to have an alternative. When I use little bags for that purpose, I just need 1/4 to 1/3 of the bag. They keep well enough for the next time. When I get little bags, it’s always because they were on such deep discount that they were cheaper that way than in bigger bags. The bars can be useful in certain circumstances. I used to get Clif Builder bars (20g protein) for times I was up against a deadline and did not have the time, energy, or focus to prepare and clean up after anything else. Just half a bar helped me keep going. I had Aloha bars (14g protein) on hand as freebies that were very useful when I needed to monitor a sick cat and really couldn’t hang around the kitchen. I needed something I could grab and take upstairs to her cage and deal with her easily in between bites. (She was on cage rest and I was on bed rest at the same time…) There are other circumstances when quick and easy is important. More organized types may not think about the energy required to do prep and cleanup of even simple things when other things are on your mind or if you aren’t feeling very well. But I absolutely have to think that way. Good food just spoils if it is not easy for me to grab and eat. What is easy for you to do may be an obstacle for me and that is not going to change. When feeling more ambitious, I do portion out things from bigger bags (both in the pantry and the freezer) so I can grab and eat them as needed and they stay fresh longer. But some things are just easier to get pre-packaged. She has tons of money so she can just buy things at full price and not worry about it. If it works for her, it works. I gag at all the chocolate (not a fan), but lots of people really like chocolate and feel deprived without it. She needs to find ways that work long-term for her and can afford to experiment with commercial products. She might be hitting protein hard in “snacks” precisely because of the problem with Ozempic. She isn’t going to say so because she doesn’t want to tell people about the medication (which is her right, I personally don’t care one way or the other).

I have a personal trainer for weight lifting. I’m a small woman 5’ 115lbs. He tells me I need to eat more all the time. He told me to buy the Wilde chicken chips. They are actually good and full of protein, which I need. They are expensive though $7 a bag. I only buy them when I can afford them. They are convenient. If I can’t get them I just buy chicken breast. Which can be a waste, because I can’t eat a lot in one sitting and I don’t like to cook for just myself most of the time. So, if you are an active person trying to gain weight and muscle, the chicken chips can be a good choice.

Why would a trainer encourage you to eat expensive Wilde chips (which have a lot of fat, sodium and carbs and very little protein per serving compared to fresh chicken) when you could just keep a container of chicken tenderloins or even rotisserie chicken meat, tuna salad or boiled/deviled eggs or homemade egg bites in the fridge to snack on? Cottage cheese on slice of dense whole grain toasted bread with a little salt and pepper is 18+ grams protein. There are so many ways to get a lot of protein from fresh, whole foods at a fraction of the cost.

Like most college students will eat a clif bar instead of a meal because it's cheap and quick to eat on the go, and a lot of people with busy schedules might do that. But there is no reason to have a giant alternating basket of snacks like that. Also does no one else find it kind of sadistic and gross that she made a chicken sound after holding literally holding a bag with dead chicken parts sprinkled in, that's just messed up.

I think she thinks that by eating all the crappy protein it will help stop Ozempic muscle loss. I know several people on Ozempic and, if you don’t work out religiously and eat a balanced diet, you’ll lose more muscle and end up with a weird build. One of my friends lost a lot of weight, but only eats one time daily so she’s basically starving herself. When she goes back to eating normally, watch out. And then there’s me, who works out 2 to 4 hours per day and eats 1500 calories and no junk.. and can’t lose weight. However, I refuse to do Ozempic due to the side effects.

Mania refers to an period of time when someone with bipolar is: euphoric, grandiose, RAPID speech, HIGH sex drive, extra “productive”, can’t sleep, can’t eat, etc. PLEASE stop using the word “manic” to describe someone a little extra energized. This further confuses and stigmatizes bipolar! Bipolar is misunderstood by many, and incorrect usage of the term does not help anyone.

The definition of the word "manic" is not exclusive to bipolar disorder. As a linguist, I do not condone giving words political value.

@@tdublakeo most will associate it with bipolar, and won’t know the “linguistics” of “manic.” Thus further stereotyping bipolar.

@@tdublakeo Absolutely agree with you. I have always used the word manic (as have many others) but now too many people feel the need to gatekeep words as to not supposedly offend certain groups. I will use whatever words I fancy as I don't bow down to dictators!.

I watched the Target video. She almost had an orgasim when she got to the 'protein' snack isle. I'd call that manic.

Think of all the good for you food you could buy, instead of buying Frankenchips. Salmon 🍣 would even be cheaper, and massively better for you.

Good grief. Is that all she thinks about is snacks?! She needs a good therapist. She needs someone to get her focused on something else besides food.

Quest chips so not worth it price per gram of protein is very bad n they're glorified Doritos with pea protein. They're junk. Just eat boiled chicken breast with fat free dressing n hot sauce, pork rinds or a couple hard boiled eggs an ounce of two of fat free cheddar a protein shake beef jerky pre cook summere hamburger patties. These snacks are all crap.
