The lady that says someone has to compliment you alot .....ummmmmm Sis, continuous compliments could be a form of love bombing and this could be a possible red flag. If you need to be complimented all the time that could be a sign of insecurity. Compliments that come organically at just ordinary times, i.e. Cooking a meal, driving home/to work, watching a show, are healthy. We as women need to be secure in ourselves and we can start by appreciating ourselves. Self love is healthy love and hopefully attracts healthy relationships. Love yourself as much as your boyfriend loves you.

Someone I dated briefly cried about his ex on the first date, then said he loved me on the second date. He made good money, but lived with his sister in her basement. I let him buy me a bunch of stuff and take me out, then discarded him. I told him his behavior disturbed me and he said "Okay, bye." then blocked me. Yeah, not the behavior of a man in love haha.

If he seems to be obsessed with you, wanting to spend time with you all the time, messaging you all day, telling you that he misses you all the time, and this is in the early stage, you’re being love bombed. If he wants to live with you (in any way, including if he offers you his home and wants to pay for it), you’re being love bombed. If he immediately wants to make lots of plans with you and starts talking about your future together in detail-you’re being love bombed and he’s using you as a tool. He could be doing all of this out of wounding, trauma, and shit he hasn’t become aware of or worked on, which will ultimately be all projected onto you, create chaos in your life, and potentially lead to abuse like what I went through.

What the last guy said matches my experience and I didn't even notice that he was actually jealous when I spent time with my family. I would spend 2days at his place and when I returned home he would accuse me of not wanting to grow up and enjoying staying with my parents. We have a son together dated 11year never engaged or mentioned marriage. He went to an extent of cheating and blaming it on me because I refused moving in. He stays not far away from my mother's house but he cheated and sometimes I caught him red-handed. Never have I heard an apology but my volunteering ass still got back together with multiple times. Till something died inside and I left and that is something I'm really not doing again! Our relationship was an on and off situationship since 2018 and started planning leading him in 2019 but managed to leave last year.
