Funny. Married my long term best friend so happy to say we skipped both of these lol. I do remember some family members that were worried we weren't "in- love " bc we totally did not do the infatuation stage but those same people question our not passing gas in front of each other if it can be helped and the closing of the bathroom door, but after 4 kids and 15 years of marriage, we call it just helping keep the romance alive! Be kind to your spouse and enjoy them!

This “forgetting the food” hit hard. Happened to me when I was sick all day and couldn’t not get out to buy food. I told my husband I wasn’t able to go outside all day and stayed in bed. When my husband finally got home, he went into the bedroom saying : “I will be back in a few min. Just gonna eat my burger”. And left to the kitchen to eat it. We are divorced now.

I like how some of the marriage stuff is still love - "big weekend", I made sure we got frozen pizza so we don't have to cook; I did the car and laundry - thank you for taking care of me; Crap, I forgot food, sorry I was in my head, should I go back to get something? Sitting together in the living room while each watches what they are interested in - I rather be near you than away from you whispers in these actions. Love doesn't end with the courtship.

When I was pregnant my ex-husband used to say I threw off heat like a blast furnace at the mill, and I kept the ceiling fan on so high he felt like Life Flight was trying to land in our bedroom every night. I told him 2 things: 1. creating a human being over here, and 2. It's easier to get warm than it is to cool off. *SPECIAL NOTE:* EX-HUSBAND

In all honesty, some of the "I'm comfortable with you now and know you aren't going anywhere" behavior started when we were engaged. Like, the farting. We actually try to answer each other's farts by producing bigger ones 😂
