Honestly... I do not know about that. I am from Serbia as well but I am not scared of "promaja". But on the other side, while I do not have medical proof what happened, there is a story that my mum got her facial nerve paralysed cause of promaja and doctors had to intervene and shorten her nerve which causes her chin to have small hole in it like the cheeks when someone smiles each time she blinks. Was that their conclusion that it was promaja or actual medical proven fact I do not know. But again I personally have no fear of promaja and I love it. And never had any problems cause of it and it is constant in my home especially spring and summer.

There are couple of muslim Serbian families living in Sarajevo (i know one family like that), and through out Bosnia too. They never forgot their true identity, even tho they are muslims today. Ofc, much more of those cases inside Serbia itself, as muslim Serbs in Bosnia tend to get on side of Bosniaks because of the same religion, and with time, system erases their identity (that they remembered until recently).
