RIDING TIME! What referee stops an NCAA finals match with 9 seconds left. Sorry guys - this was a gift to Suriano - he did not earn it - the match was 9 seconds from finished when the ref allowed Suriano a second chance - he had already lost the match!

We all showed up to see some tough wrestling. Not a referee giving away an NCAA title! No ref would ever stop a regulation NCAA match with 9 seconds left on the clock. Fix was cheated and cheated REALLY bad! The fact that the Rutgers coaches agreed is why he left Rutgers for Michigan.
@apexfic34433 жыл бұрын
Fix let him go after he grabbed the headgear thinking he was going to get the call …. Which screwed him over , smh

Suriano is the best escape artist in collegiate wrestling hands down.
@robwerter74942 жыл бұрын
LMAO!!! Suriano is a serial QUITTER! He quit Penn State under Cael Sanderson after his 3rd loss! He quit the super32 in high school after he lost. He quit the Olympic trials after he lost and wouldn't even wrestle his consolation matches! He quit Rutgers... If he had stayed at Penn State he could have been a 3X NCAA champion. Now he will leave college with one MCAA title and that was a gift from the ref that stopped the regulation match with 9 seconds left on the clock. Strength and stamina - Nick wins - skill and technique he gets beat EVERY time!

If you have a national title on the line why try and win off a violation? Fix literally stops mid takedown and starts complaining he was pulling his head gear. Sorry but him and his coach always try to win off a technicality.
@senecaknowsbest83803 жыл бұрын
If only points were awarded for aggressiveness like riding time. Suriano would win easily.
@rowdypalmer60124 жыл бұрын
No headgear violation. Zero. He was pushing away, grabbing it and holding it makes no sense. He wanted space.
@jonathonrios9196 Жыл бұрын
As a ref I always caution the wrestlers never to stop wrestling just cuz they think I need to call a violation.

1) Between the stalling from fix and headgear grab from Suriano, call it even. 2) Announcer: " Can you give us a clear definition of hands to the face?" Me: It's a dumb rule. Let the men wrestle.

Heartbreaking! Fix had the match easily won in regular time. What ref stops riding time with 9 second left in a match. Fix is a much better wrestler but Suriano is a wild card. He's strong and in shape. Even when you're technique and skill is much better a tough wrestler always has a chance. I haven't seen Suriano wrestle at the same level since he lost at the Super32 his freshman year of high school. Then the two losses his junior year of high school changed him. He was still officially 159-0 which is damn good even in a weak state like NJ! I think he only has 8 college losses.
