I check in on Daughtry every once in a while, but would of never expected him to cover anything Sleep Token. The man still has an incredible voice with enough range and dynamics to make this song sound powerful even with only an acoustic guitar to back him. So good.

I’m thoroughly impressed by how well he kept the essence of the song in tact while covering this. I feel like I haven’t genuinely enjoyed a single vocal cover I’ve seen of any ST because Vessel’s style is so fuckin distinct. the fact that Chris kept it authentic to his own style while still singing the same notes we all hear when listening to the track, even down to the ending, really allowed him to do this song justice. this was sick. crazy my mom used to listen to these guys damn near 20 years ago and now he’s covering one of my favorite bands 🫡

As a live musician, there's nothing we love more than seeing the audience go nuts. Knowing that what you're doing is resonating with people, making them jump, dance, and sing back your own lyrics is EVERYTHING. Your comment made me deeply sad. Sure, it makes for a better KZbin video, but for me performing in front of a dead audience is one of the worst feelings in the world. I've had nightmares like that. I would never suggest people to be quiet, much less call it "concert etiquette". Instead of "respectful to the performer" I would feel it's disrespectful to call out others for having a good time and engaging with the performance.
