You can see here Alan realizing that this president is perfect, way better than the real one. And Bob, realizing that the guy is well-prepared and may be a good puppet for him. Welll, at least one of them was completely right :D

That reaction shot of Langella is so good. He really is an underrated actor. Best Dracula ever, btw.

You gotta love that they picked him up because he was an impersonator, but never really took into account that he studied for the role. :D

They picked him because he and the President are the same person. Remember the Schmuck scene where the President looks at him and says he’s a good looking guy.

Remember when Presidents used to give press conferences instead of hiding in their basements and running away from questions.

I think the best part about watching this scene is that you can't watch any real-life president afterwards without seeing the coaching all over their hands, voice, and presence. The scene is satire, but it nails how rehearsed Presidents and Presidential candidates get on, 'sounding Presidential'.

The fact that the term “presidential” is even something to be argued for is absurd. I recall people clamoring that Hillary was so presidential when she is just an awful, insufferable person in real life.
@hibob4186 ай бұрын
@cggg490 says the person apparently backing the guy with multiple felony indictments. You can’t stand Hillary, fine. But history has shown she would have been 10 times the president than cell block Donald.

Langella and the other guy both played in Draft Day. Langella was the owner. And the other guy worked for him.

Probably one of the first movies I saw of Langella was Superman but the movie I’ve seen where he’s really young is 12 Chairs.

'stronger than the one we were given' considering how this movie is from 1993 I doubt in practical terms it could be stronger than then. Just after winning the Cold War when there was no one left. When you reach the undisputed top the only way is down not even further up.

Quite close to reality. Presidents are made the same way as here in this film. By the way, excellent film. (Sp) Muy parecido a la realidad. De la misma manera se hacen los presidentes, como aqui en este film.Por cierto, excelente filme.

Same general idea... ...but different message, I think. I fondly remember the moment when the enemy Daimyo says, "The Mountain has moved."...and I finally realized that the father was always calling his SON the mountain and not the favorite general. Such a great 'OH!' moment in film inspired by a simple line of dialogue.

Seems to me the only people thinking there was a fraud in the White House were those of us who voted against Fat Donny on Nov. 3rd, 2020. Your guy lost. Get used to it

@@jimfranklin2613 the airzona audit release that 3981 were registered after the oct15 deadline,11326 voted were not on the voter rolls,18000 voters were removed after the election and they recived 74243 more mail in ballots than they sent out,ok genius you explain there was no fraud.
@matthewsmith85733 жыл бұрын
@@DaveL188 Those 74K "mail in" ballots were early in-person votes -- cast after the deadline for requesting a mail-in ballot, but before Nov 3rd. Since they weren't mailed out, they weren't recorded as having been mailed out, but the ballots were counted the same as mail-in ballots.
