I'm a white (nearly 40 year old) Englishman. I love this song... It gives me goosebumps and everything Dave says is facts! Perhaps the best song ever written!!! 🇬🇧

I have been listening to this track nearly everyday lately, Dave speaks the Truth. I'm an old English white man and this has really opened my eyes and heart. I want this track taught in schools. Big love and peace. ♥️

Thank you. Dave was rapping like this at 16. Akala will blow you away too, Fire in the Booth part 1. 👊

Yes he is speaking the truth. Jack was a enlightened white man that helped Dave's family when his brother got sent to jail. He was murdered on one of the bridges in London. it was a hit. Grenville is an area where a disastrous fire broke out in a block of high rised flats. Where victims were told to stay in their flats and that everything was fine. It was very emotional when the true story came out. The survivors still have not been relocated. This story is kept out of the media as the victims were all of ethnic origins. Plus it would show how ethnics are really treated in the UK. People do not understand that the UK is racist. Its just hidden in the infrastructure.

Britain is controlled by the upper classes still. And yes, it's institutionally racist AND classist. Too many Brits are completely subservient and still happy to doff their caps at their "betters". Change is coming though, it may be decades away, but it's inevitable
@martinvalentine92283 жыл бұрын
Your describing England rather than Britain but thats a common assumption incorrectly made by many English folks. Its the centuries of colonial propaganda, also the reason that xenophobia is an internationally recognised English trait usually also incorrectly labeled British.
@palomawoma3 жыл бұрын
@@martinvalentine9228 You don't think Scottish, Welsh, Irish AND English land are owned by the upper classes? Land is power and the UK is VERY murky when it comes to who owns the land....
@sarahealey17803 жыл бұрын
@@martinvalentine9228 so where are u from ? Cause of all the countries that make up BRITIAN England is the least racist, and yes I get the least racist is still racist.

Great reaction much love from Ireland 💚 just some context Dave added the last version just for this it’s not on the original, He invited the parents of jack(white young man shown on piano at the end) put them front row surprised them with this💗jack merritt was murdered in a London terrorist attack before that he was an activist for among so many other causes prison reform& rehabilitation rather than longer sentences esp with ppl of colour💗 he was working with Dave’s brother who was convicted of murder(there’s more to that too)& working so hard to change the country, after his death Dave& his brother were genuinely devastated💔 this was him paying homage to his amazing life&beautiful soul😊 brilliant 👌

This is probably the best reaction to this track by Dave that I've seen so far (and I've seen a LOT) and I see you really felt it, I felt it when I first heard it too but there's no way I could ever truly understand his words! 😔 Thank-you and a big shout out from London 👋 ♥ 🤜💥🤛

after watching I'm now Wondering if you've done any mic righteous reactions yet? 🤔 his fire in the booth 3 & 2 are my faves & in that order, although the part 2 speaks on the London riots from several years ago so pretty prevelant with all the current events! 😔 (he also did a freestyle with Joel Ortiz 😊) Think you'd probably like ghetts karma too.... It's storytelling rap at its absolute finest IMO x ♥ thanks again x

If you liked this performance if you haven't already done one to "Psycho" then give a reaction to his live performance where he is wearing a lime greenish yellow track suit his stage performance if great and you really get a better sense of why the song is called "Psycho" over listening to the audio version, also the other songs to give a reaction to is "My 19th Birthday", "Hangman", "My Ex", "Panic Attack" the live performance on the piano and the song "Lesley" there is only the audio version. Another suggestion to help grow your channel is every time you stop the video to comment roll the video back 10 seconds and I say that specifically with Dave as this young 21 going on 22 year old man's style of rap writing is more along the lines of spoken word a lot of the lyrics you hear in his song is from personal experience so he packs his song full of verses/lines/bars that if you don't do it you will actually miss stuff or miss hear lines and bars, so you don't get the full effect of how deep he is rapping. And with Dave you have to listen to his style of rapping different from American Rappers as Dave style is on another level, as he is right now in a league of his own to me so come to the reaction with different ears ready to listen to every line/bar as Dave is a brilliant lyricist and every deep. The "Brits" is a music award show on the level of the AMA or Grammy's so most of the audience is white and wealthy so to do this song on that platform was "Huge" in the U.K as you know some of them were being slapped with facts they don't think we know. The freestyle he does at the end when he gets up from the piano is not part of the song on his album Dave due his personal life experience with his brother doing life for killing another gang member Dave believes his brother did not do fueled his craft and his outspokenness that you saw there against racial and criminal injustice in the U.K specifically against the black community and the disrespect they get in the media, government and policing. His call out about their Prime Minister Boris Johnson as being racist is because it was revealed somehow not sure that in a private discussion Boris had told someone who was a part of his cabinet that he believed black people were intellectually inferior and had said in the media that the black community should be grateful that the U.K is only half racist; just trying to give you context to the statements he makes about him in the free style. Lots of racism the same as in the U.S in the U.K towards the black community and a lot of police misconduct and inappropriate behavior. Still your reaction was priceless and authentic as I could tell you were caught off guard by how deep Dave was going to go on this you were entranced the same way I was when I first heard this song like as you said I had to watch it few time to process
