Buccaneers fan here - GREAT move by the Panthers to grab up Canales! It might be a little bit early in his career, (he admits that he's still learning...) but I have no doubt, if given a little time, this guy will become a very special HC. He's very open-minded, trusts his coaches to do their jobs, and there's no way to not love the guy. He's just so genuine, above board, and passionate about learning. CONGRATS Carolina!

Yep. It has taken the Browns over 20 years to figure out that it takes a 3 years or so for a new HC to get all is ducks in a row, get enough of the kind of players he likes, get everyone to buy in, and get his system firing on all cylinders.

Glad to see the coach show his passion for the game. This should influence the team. I don’t know if it will equal wins or success especially with the lack of talent on this team. First and foremost have to increase ability to protect the QB. Second have to have a group to catch the ball not just one player but a group. Third must have an improved effort from the running back group for success to occur. My question is how does Carolina achieve this with the limited resources they have & overwhelming needs that abound & need to be filled. I want them to have success but without a complete tare down or rebuild I don’t know how this will be achieved.

Canales crushed this interview. Really like his approach to things. God, it’d be way nicer if we were getting him with Drake Maye or Caleb Williams. Hell of a shame he’s not getting that kind of arm talent because he seems like a qb’s dream. But Bryce just ain’t got the chops arm wise

@@Nic_P85 bro, I'm not trying to hate on you or the kid. I think Bryce is as smart as a player can be. But he's nothing special and never has been athletically. He was surrounded by talent in Birmingham. And yet he was still mediocre at best. His body will simply not last in this league. If you can surround him with playmakers and a brick wall offensive line he can play well. But we don't have that and we're nowhere close to it. I say draft weapons this year and O-line depth. And next year move on from Bryce asap. I'm just being real. 🤷‍♂️

You say his body won’t last yet he got sacked more than any other rookie QB this season and he only missed 1 game. Stroud and AR missed more than him and got hit less so how can you say that. Also he wasn’t mediocre, he is probably the best QB in Alabama history and he led his team to beat a tough Georgia defense in the chip.
