Right! I was there and witnessed the incident first hand. That was a major security failure by the Hollywood Bowl. There are 2 stairway entrances to the stage from the audience section. Someone should have been at each point at all times. Also, the tickets in the front sections are very expensive, and I highly doubt the assailant had a ticket for that section. The staff shouldn’t have allowed him to get to any front sections. I noticed from where I was sitting there was a lot of “seat stealing”. That probably happened in every section. Because everything was digital, and no phones were allowed, there were no ticket stubs to verify seats, only a piece of paper with handwritten seat numbers, which can easily be forged. That’s a ridiculous policy! That night Dave Chappelle said, “The Hollywood Bowl owes me 10 minutes”. He knows they were the ones at fault.
