Love this song, wish they release it as a single or on a album. I believe this song would have gone to number one. The D.C.5 still the all time top band.

A super killer tune because THE DC5 were always a fantastic group. Especially when a beautiful woman is part of the ACT. That's what made this performance stand-out.

I always admired 'Dave Clarks' taste in drum sets. He set others apart (even Ringo) as far as trend setting is concerned.

yep, might as well look good even if you don't have the first clue how to play them correctly :-)

@@bjornshigg1902 That's a load of crap. Dave could play -- not the greatest, but serviceable. Tired of people knocking him for it. They forget that the DC5 played in many clubs and live gigs before they made it big. If he couldn't play, he would have been found out a long time ago. He was basic but effective. Even Ron Ryan, who has a legitimate beef with Dave, told me that all of the Five could play. Did they use session players for some recordings? Yes, as did MANY other bands (See also: Wrecking Crew). Give it a rest!

I remember seeing this performance and then bugging my local record shop for the single--which, of course, was not released in the US. Thanks for posting this quality copy. The lighting and blocking were quite good and the dancer reminds me of "Laugh-in"'s Judy Carne. I like it much better than the "Beat Club" appearance.

Awful band. How on earth did they make it big . Dave Clark was the talentless one who made the most money out of these. It says a lot about him to have the band named after him when other groups at that time stopped all that .
@bjbell523 жыл бұрын
Mike Smith, their keyboardist, was a child prodigy - enrolled in a London musical collage at the age of 13. He was probably the best keyboardist in all the British Invasion! Their guitarist came from a jazz group and after the Five broke up, went on to teach music at college. Their saxophonist played 5 different instruments. Yes, Dave was not a very good drummer - a fact that he acknowledged. But the rest of the group were very talented.
