On this day in 1983 {November 5th} Dave Davies performed "Love Gets You" on the above episode of the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... "Love Gets You" was track four of side one on his 1983 Masterdisk album, 'Chosen People'... At the time the Kinks' album, 'State of Confusion', was at position #102 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, thirteen weeks earlier it had peaked at #12 {for 1 week}, and it spent twenty five weeks on the Top 200... Personal note: "State of Confusion" contained my favorite Kinks' record, "Don't Forget To Dance", it was track one of side two on the album and peaked at #16 on Billboard's Top 100 chart... 'Even that you know that you could be their mother'...
