I'm so excited for everything that comes from the "Filoniverse". They're the only entries that feel as if George's vision and spirit is present. None of the other projects feel like Star Wars, no matter how many cameos and no matter how many fanservice elements or OG John Williams pieces are playing in the background. Dave truly is George's padawan, who trained under him and worked directly with him for over a decade. Jon gets that, and gets Star Wars right when allowed to harness that power and draw from it to co-create with Dave. When they get to helm projects with no "dark-side influence" I'm always ready to turn up.

If I was in marketing, I would’ve told them to wait 3-6 months after the release of ROS, because like it or not, ROS did make around $1 billion and was thus a commercial success. Releasing Mando right when sucky ROS was released and everybody was saying bad things about Star Wars was a wrong decision. Hey, but it worked. Not the smart move but it worked.

These two men get it. They see the essence that made Star Wars so great since RotJ. It's a blending of art meeting fan service. But more than that, it's about hope. It's always been about hope. And they see that. So I say, the executives like Kennedy need to just shut up, let Filoni & Favreau do whatever they want, and they can reap the benefits. We get our story back, and the greedy executives get their money piles. Win-win.

The ‘thank yous’ are from the deep longing for more content tied to the original trilogy which pointed to much larger things, deeply meaningful things to many people that were literally given a ‘new hope’ after seeing the original trilogy… and you after many ‘failures’ by other are finally delivering on that need.

I worry about what is coming next from Filoni more than anything else. But mostly because he breaks continuity more than any other creator. But that’s just because I care more about the EU then anything these guys have created. I would love them to continue the Legends timeline. I miss the real Grandmaster Luke Skywalker.

I am so happy they describe SW as something that should be FUN! That should bring fun & joy & hope to people, especially in hard times. I only wish they could tell that to KK as well because she totally do not understand this principle, or she does not care the slightest. @@doodadamlol She is in charge of it all, yes. But, what many don't understand that on Favreau's projects she has LESS influence on actual story & characters. Sometimes none at all. It's still her name on it but she has next to no actual creative power. On the projects that she has had that, however, it has gone much worse in most cases.

@@johngrayson9218 Not according to several different rumors. She is apparently the reason why we have the far too colorful speeder cyborg kids in Book of Boba Fett. It was Rodriguez' idea that Favreau outright said no to. Then Favreau had to leave to work on Ahsoka for a while. When he came back the kids & their speeders was very much put into the show as we know it. KK had gone behind Favreau's back & agreed to them, according to the rumor from close inside sources only to piss Favreau off, not to make actual good SW. KK & Favreau hate each other & that is no rumor. He actually tries to maintain Lucas' old style, KK does all she can to bury it.
