The Epiphone DG-335 Dave Grohl Signature model is just one of its kind and rerally is a premium instrument! 🎸 Leave your comments what you think about this guitar or are there any better choices for a semi-hollow at this price point.

Thanks for watching mate! :) I only used the guitar connected directly to the Victory Sheriff amplifier behind me on the table an thats it. I think I used the Ibanez mini TS for Monkey wrench just to boost it a little bit.

might be, I just restringed the guitar before the review so the strings might have been still adjusting... I didn't hear or notice anything while playing and recording... Anyway, it's barely noticable the important thing is that the tones are there....☺️

The intonation is a little off for 1200... I thought grohl would try to push for something more affordable so more kids could finally have thus kind of model.

it's not the intonation of the guitar but the new strings I put on it before the review... they were still adjusting...

@ToneChaseBasement I mean did you not stretch the strings? New strings stay in tune fine as long as they are stretched out. But the open notes sound fine. When you play a lot of the diatonic chords you hear the destructive interference that you get with cheaper guitars. Diatonic chords should sound clean. But if it's rock and roll I guess it doesn't matter. But if I'm spending that money I want it to be perfectly intonated.

@@rethinktone no I didn't stretch them, I am not a fan stretching strings... I tune them up a couple times after playing and thats it... they will adjust in a day. There is nothing wrong with this guitar, it's really one of the most perfect ones I played... and trust me I play a bunch of other new guitars every single day... 🤘🎸

Generally this "Premium" Epiphone line is trying to replace the lower Gibson range from what I understand... there are always the regular Epiphone models that are cheaper of course than this one...

$1300 is not an accessible price point for a Chinese made guitar, and this has been going on for a while now, Epiphones are becoming too expensive

This one is not a typical "chinese guitar" like the ones from a couple years back.. It really is a premium guitar regardless its made in china... and still more affordable than the Gibson 335s that cost 4500 at least... so it is a very good deal.
