This subject is near and dear to my heart ❤️ Being 74 years old I grew up with an altar rail and patent. I never understood why they the most reverent way of receiving the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ was removed. I do not believe in Extraordinary Ministers at normal Sunday Masses in most cases, how, there are exceptions but I always feel like it’s frowned upon that my husband and I go out of our way to receive only from a priest. I have written several times to our Arch Bishop to request the altar railing be restored.
