Still crushing it after all these years & as great a player as Rock & Blues will permit it's great to see he still has it all & how great is Jason Roller on guitar, it's no wonder Dave took him on as that boy can stretch some wires for sure. Jason has a CD out of his own stuff & it's as good as you hear him play in these few performances with Dave & this hot as sin band. Best version of this classic I've heard. 🎸🎶🔥

Dave Mason composed Feelin' Alright way back in the day. Covered by the best... Grand Funk Railroad, Joe Crocker and so many others. But nobody plays it like he does!

A one of a kind song by a one of a kind singer/songwriter, I've always dug listening to Dave Mason. This is an infectious song to jam to, if you only had one song to jam with, this would work!

That keyboard player does a hell of a job holding down that bass part while playing his solo!
@tommckinnon10057 жыл бұрын
Agreed....and I am a bass player who played this very song today at a gig...he's got the right patch that sounds like a bass thumpin' away and he is playing realistic bass runs, not just hitting the root notes.
@apa5307 жыл бұрын
Wow that was the keyboardist... very impressive. I was wondering if they were hiding the bass player or if his/her part was dubbed into the live track.
@zankfrappa-ccino74937 жыл бұрын
filemmmonger Dave didn't introduce the strongest part of the rhythm section. The drummer kicked ass. Great ensemble. Leave it to Dave to have a brilliant group completing this live performance.

Been A Dave fan since the 70's .Always a great , consummate musician . The keyboard solo does really fly . Hate to rub salt , but I'm going to see him again in Napa ,CA on 9/17/2017 .He's on tour now , I think .

Joe cocker truly hijacked this song and made it his own and here Mason seems to be imitating Cocker
@shawnyoung87522 жыл бұрын
He wrote the song. Like John Fogerty wrote Proud Mary. Fogerty was called by Tina Turners people asking if she could cover his song. He was happy as hell and was honoured to have her sing his song.
@TooSkinnyKenny2 жыл бұрын
@@shawnyoung8752 sure he wrote the song but in an interview Mason himself raved about Cocker's cover. It's baffled me why Mason's other awesome song "Sad And Deep As You" didn't receive as much attention.

@thomasjorgensen4574 Жыл бұрын
Unsolicited opinion? This version…big no. Flat, downbeat grove; altered chords and melody…what not to do with a classic song. The obvious attempt at the brick house thing didn’t have the funk to hit the mark. And don’t get me started on why a 12 string is a poor choice for this situation.
