soooooo relate.😢 I had a dream last night with him and we're sitting with my new gf talking about Eminem lol. Anyway I felt like it was a sign of approval. Woke up and Dave Mathews Band was on my brain. I stole my dad's Dave CDs as a teenager after hearing 'Grave Digger' didn't really care for them before that. Was almost anti DMB. I was about 16 or 17. I'm now 33. After buying Some Devil and my dad's CDs, I was mad at myself. I'm a metal head and love real rap, but DMB is fully in my heart. Bought tickets for the Dec. 5th show in Albany NY a couple hours ago. I'm blessed. Wish I could take my dad though. It's ok. I'm bringing my new gf. Gonna be our first time seeing them. I'm excited.

+TheWhynaut People connect with music in different ways and for different reasons.What is sad is when someone can't get past their music own snobbery enough not to judge someone else's emotional connection to a song. What is sad is when someone needs to feel superior so badly that they tell someone else that they are wrong for appreciating a song for the "wrong" reason. Maybe he does realize the ways in which it is musically genius . But maybe the lyrics resonate with him in such a way that he was moved to speak on them.
