If anyone’s been there (and believe me too many ppl these days know that feeling) the best option is honestly to call it out AT FIRST... but then right after just act like it doesn’t affect you anymore. Bc it’s gonna drive them crazy that you just turned the other cheek to something like that after you clearly displayed that you did not like the sound of it. Freaking out at first and then submitting to her getting mad at you for freaking out. Nope 👎 that shows your submissive weaker side. But making a big deal out of it for weeks on end is not an option either. You’re showing her that you’re childish and she’s not gonna take that. By ignoring it and acting like you just stopped caring about it abruptly... it makes THEM feel like the childish one when they expected one of two reactions from you. It’s the best way to ACTUALLY LEARN how to handle things better WITHOUT PUTTING ON A FAÇADE! Bc if you have to “act” like you suddenly stopped caring about it, you’ll have to actually learn how to ultimately forget it GENUINELY.
